ந தாதோ ந மாதா ந ப³ந்து⁴ர்ன தா³தா
ந புத்ரோ ந புத்ரீ ந ப்⁴ருத்யோ ந ப⁴ர்தா
ந ஜாயா ந வித்³யா ந வ்ருத்திர்மமைவ
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 1 ॥
Neither the father nor the mother, neither the relatives nor the contributors
Neither the son nor the daughter, neither the servant nor the husband
Neither the wife nor the knowledge or not even my profession
You are my saviour, you are my only saviour, O Goddess Bhavani
ப⁴வாப்³தா⁴வபாரே மஹாது³:க²பீ⁴ரு
பபாத ப்ரகாமீ ப்ரலோபீ⁴ ப்ரமத்த:
குஸம்ஸாரபாஶப்ரப³த்³த:⁴ ஸதா³ஹம்
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 2 ॥
I am immersed in the ocean of worldly existence, which is filled with great sorrow, I fear to be in it
I am full of sins, I am lustful, greedy and intoxicated
Tied with the bondages in the cycle of the birth and death
You are my saviour, you are my only saviour, O Goddess Bhavani
ந ஜானாமி தா³னம் ந ச த்⁴யானயோக³ம்
ந ஜானாமி தந்த்ரம் ந ச ஸ்தோத்ரமந்த்ரம்
ந ஜானாமி பூஜாம் ந ச ந்யாஸயோக³ம்
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 3 ॥
Neither I know the charity nor attaining the self by meditating
Neither I know worshipping by tantra nor the stotras or mantras (hymns)
Neither I know to worship by puja nor by the Nyasa yogam (special yogic acts performed to consecrate the body for pujas and japa’s)

ந ஜானாமி புண்யம் ந ஜானாமி தீர்த²ம்
ந ஜானாமி முக்திம் லயம் வா கதா³சித்
ந ஜானாமி ப⁴க்திம் வ்ரதம் வாபி மாத:
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 4 ॥
Neither I know doing Punya (virtue) nor pilgrimage
Neither I know how to attain salvation, merging in you with my efforts
Neither I know devotion nor doing Vratam (religious austerities) O Mother
You are my saviour, you are my only saviour, O Goddess Bhavani
குகர்மீ குஸங்கீ³ குபு³த்³தி⁴: குதா³ஸ:
குலாசாரஹீன: கதா³சாரலீன:
குத்³ருஷ்டி: குவாக்யப்ரப³ந்த:⁴ ஸதா³ஹம்
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 5 ॥
I always performed bad actions, accompanied by the bad ones, I always have bad intentions, I was a bad servant to the payee
I don’t perform my traditional austerities and engaged in bad conduct
I always have bad thoughts, I always speak a collection of bad words
You are my saviour, you are my only saviour, O Goddess Bhavani
ப்ரஜேஶம் ரமேஶம் மஹேஶம் ஸுரேஶம்
தி³னேஶம் நிஶீதே²ஶ்வரம் வா கதா³சித்
ந ஜானாமி சான்யத் ஸதா³ஹம் ஶரண்யே
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 6 ॥
Very little I know about the lord of Creation (Brahma), Lord of Ramaa-Goddess Lakshmi (Vishnu), the Lord of all (Shiva), Lord of Suras (Indra)
The Lord of the day (Surya), the lord of the night (Chandra)
Neither I know about other gods, oh the goddess, I always bow

விவாதே³ விஷாதே³ ப்ரமாதே³ ப்ரவாஸே
ஜலே சானலே பர்வதே ஶத்ருமத்⁴யே
அரண்யே ஶரண்யே ஸதா³ மாம் ப்ரபாஹி
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 7 ॥
During the disputes, while in the sorrow, during the difficult situations, while in the distant lands
In the waters, fire, while on the hills or in the middle of my enemies
Even in the forests, please protect me everywhere O divine mother

அனாதோ² த³ரித்³ரோ ஜராரோக³யுக்தோ
மஹாக்ஷீணதீ³ன: ஸதா³ ஜாட்³யவக்த்ர:
விபத்தௌ ப்ரவிஷ்ட: ப்ரனஷ்ட: ஸதா³ஹம்
க³திஸ்த்வம் க³திஸ்த்வம் த்வமேகா ப⁴வானி ॥ 8 ॥
Being an orphan (to help myself to reach you), poor, afflicted by the old age and with diseases
Being very weal and miserable, always with apathy
Always Surrounded with the problems, lost in miseries, being ruined
You are my saviour, you are my only saviour, O Goddess Bhavani
॥ இதி ஶ்ரீமதா³தி³ஶங்கராசார்யவிரசிதம் ப⁴வான்யஷ்டகம் ஸம்பூர்ணம் ॥
