Translation
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Listen again, O mighty-armed Arjuna. Because you are My dear friend, for your benefit I shall speak to you further, giving knowledge that is better than what I have already explained.
শ্লোকঃ
ন মে বিদুঃ সুরগণাঃ প্রভবং ন মহর্ষয়ঃ ।
অহমাদির্হি দেবানাং মহর্ষীণাং চ সর্বশঃ ॥ 2 ॥
Meaning

Translation
Neither the hosts of demigods nor the great sages know My origin or opulences, for, in every respect, I am the source of the demigods and sages.

যো মামজমনাদিং চ বেত্তি লোকমহেশ্বরম্ ।
অসম্মূঢঃ স মর্ত্য়েষু সর্বপাপৈঃ প্রমুচ্যতে ॥ 3 ॥
Meaning

Translation
He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds – he only, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins.

বুদ্ধির্জ্ঞানমসম্মোহঃ ক্ষমা সত্য়ং দমঃ শমঃ ।
সুখং দুঃখং ভবোঽভাবো ভয়ং চাভযমেব চ ॥ 4 ॥
অহিংসা সমতা তুষ্টিস্তপো দানং যশোঽযশঃ ।
ভবংতি ভাবা ভূতানাং মত্ত এব পৃথগ্বিধাঃ ॥ 5 ॥

Translation
Intelligence, knowledge, freedom from doubt and delusion, forgiveness, truthfulness, control of the senses, control of the mind, happiness and distress, birth, death, fear, fearlessness, nonviolence, equanimity, satisfaction, austerity, charity, fame and infamy – all these various qualities of living beings are created by Me alone.
শ্লোকঃ
মহর্ষয়ঃ সপ্ত পূর্বে চত্বারো মনবস্তথা ।
মদ্ভআবা মানসা জাতা যেষাং লোক ইমাঃ প্রজাঃ ॥ 6 ॥
Meaning
মহা-ঋষয়ঃ — the great sages; সপ্ত — seven; পূর্বে — before; চত্বারঃ — four; মনবঃ — Manus; তথা — also; মত্-ভাবাঃ — born of Me; মানসাঃ — from the mind; জাতাঃ — born; যেষাম্ — of them; লোকে — in the world; ইমাঃ — all this; প্রজাঃ — population.
Translation
The seven great sages and before them the four other great sages and the Manus [progenitors of mankind] come from Me, born from My mind, and all the living beings populating the various planets descend from them.

এতাং বিভূতিং যোগং চ মম যো বেত্তি তত্ত্বতঃ ।
সোঽবিকল্পেন যোগেন যুজ্যতে নাত্র সংশয়ঃ ॥ 7 ॥
Meaning

Translation
One who is factually convinced of this opulence and mystic power of Mine engages in unalloyed devotional service; of this there is no doubt.

অহং সর্বস্য় প্রভবো মত্তঃ সর্বং প্রবর্ততে ।
ইতি মত্বা ভজংতে মাং বুধা ভাবসমন্বিতাঃ ॥ 8 ॥
Meaning

Translation
I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.

মচ্চিত্তা মদ্গতপ্রাণা বোধয়ংতঃ পরস্পরম্ ।
কথয়ংতশ্চ মাং নিত্য়ং তুষ্য়ংতি চ রমংতি চ ॥ 9 ॥

Translation
The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.

তেষাং সততয়ুক্তানাং ভজতাং প্রীতিপূর্বকম্ ।
দদামি বুদ্ধিয়োগং তং যেন মামুপয়াংতি তে ॥ 10 ॥
Meaning

Translation
To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.

নাশয়াম্য়াত্মভাবস্থো জ্ঞানদীপেন ভাস্বতা ॥ 11 ॥
Meaning

To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.

Translation
Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Nārada, Asita, Devala and Vyāsa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me.

সর্বমেতদৃতং মন্য়ে যন্মাং বদসি কেশব ।
ন হি তে ভগবন্ব্যক্তিং বিদুর্দেবা ন দানবাঃ ॥ 14 ॥

ভূতভাবন ভূতেশ দেবদেব জগত্পতে ॥ 15 ॥

Of the great sages I am Bhrigu; of vibrations I am the transcendental oM. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himālayas.

অশ্বত্থঃ — the banyan tree; সর্ব-বৃক্ষাণাম্ — of all trees; দেব-ঋষীণাম্ — of all the sages amongst the demigods; চ — and; নারদঃ — Nārada; গংধর্বাণাম্ — of the citizens of the Gandharva planet; চিত্ররথঃ — Citraratha; সিদ্ধানাম্ — of all those who are perfected; কপিলঃ মুনিঃ — Kapila Muni.
Translation
Of all trees I am the banyan tree, and of the sages among the demigods I am Nārada. Of the Gandharvas I am Citraratha, and among perfected beings I am the sage Kapila.

উচ্চৈঃশ্রবসমশ্বানাং বিদ্ধি মামমৃতোদ্ভবম্ ।
ঐরাবতং গজেংদ্রাণাং নরাণাং চ নরাধিপম্ ॥ 27 ॥

উচ্চৈঃশ্রবসম্ — Uccaiḥśravā; অশ্বানাম্ — among horses; বিদ্ধি — know; মাম্ — Me; অমৃত-উদ্ভবম্ — produced from the churning of the ocean; ঐরাবতম্ — Airāvata; গজ-ইংদ্রাণাম্ — of lordly elephants; নরাণাম্ — among human beings; চ — and; নর-অধিপম্ — the king.
Translation
Of horses know Me to be Uccaiḥśravā, produced during the churning of the ocean for nectar. Of lordly elephants I am Airāvata, and among men I am the monarch.

Among the Daitya demons I am the devoted Prahlāda, among subduers I am time, among beasts I am the lion, and among birds I am Garuḍa.

Translation
Of purifiers I am the wind, of the wielders of weapons I am Rāma, of fishes I am the shark, and of flowing rivers I am the Ganges.

Translation
Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth.

অক্ষরাণামকারোঽস্মি দ্বংদ্বঃ সামাসিকস্য় চ ।
অহমেবাক্ষয়ঃ কালো ধাতাহং বিশ্বতোমুখঃ ॥ 33 ॥
Meaning
অক্ষরাণাম্ — of letters; অ-কারঃ — the first letter; অস্মি — I am; দ্বংদ্বঃ — the dual; সামাসিকস্য় — of compounds; চ — and; অহম্ — I am; এব — certainly; অক্ষয়ঃ — eternal; কালঃ — time; ধাতা — the creator; অহম্ — I am; বিশ্বতঃ-মুখঃ — Brahmā.
Translation
Of letters I am the letter A, and among compound words I am the dual compound. I am also inexhaustible time, and of creators I am Brahmā.

মৃত্য়ুঃ সর্বহরশ্চাহমুদ্ভবশ্চ ভবিষ্যতাম্ ।
কীর্তিঃ শ্রীর্বাক্চ নারীণাং স্মৃতির্মেধা ধৃতিঃ ক্ষমা ॥ 34 ॥

মৃত্য়ুঃ — death; সর্ব-হরঃ — all-devouring; চ — also; অহম্ — I am; উদ্ভবঃ — generation; চ — also; ভবিষ্যতাম্ — of future manifestations; কীর্তিঃ — fame; শ্রীঃ — opulence or beauty; বাক্ — fine speech; চ — also; নারীণাম্ — of women; স্মৃতিঃ — memory; মেধা — intelligence; ধৃতিঃ — firmness; ক্ষমা — patience.
Translation
I am all-devouring death, and I am the generating principle of all that is yet to be. Among women I am fame, fortune, fine speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience.

বৃহত্সাম তথা সাম্নআং গাযত্রী ছংদসামহম্ ।
মাসানাং মার্গশীর্ষোঽহমৃতূনাং কুসুমাকরঃ ॥ 35 ॥

Translation
Of the hymns in the Sāma Veda I am the Brihat-sāma, and of poetry I am the Gāyatrī. Of months I am Mārgaśīrṣa [November-December], and of seasons I am flower-bearing spring.

Translation
I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong.

Translation
Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.

নাংতোঽস্তি মম দিব্য়ানাং বিভূতীনাং পরংতপ ।
এষ তূদ্দেশতঃ প্রোক্তো বিভূতের্বিস্তরো ময়া ॥ 40 ॥
Meaning

Translation
O mighty conqueror of enemies, there is no end to My divine manifestations. What I have spoken to you is but a mere indication of My infinite opulences.

যদ্যদ্বিভূতিমত্সত্ত্বং শ্রীমদূর্জিতমেব বা ।
তত্তদেবাবগচ্ছ ত্বং মম তেজোঽশসংভবম্ ॥ 41 ॥

Know that all opulent, beautiful and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendor.

বিষ্টভ্য়াহমিদং কৃত্স্নমেকাংশেন স্থিতো জগত্ ॥ 42 ॥

Translation
But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.
