శ్లోకః
క్వచిదథ తపనోపరాగకాలే పురి నిదధత్ కృతవర్మకామసూనూ ।
యదుకులమహిలావృతః సుతీర్థం సముపగతోఽసి సమంతపంచకాఖ్యమ్ ॥1॥
Meaning
క్వచిత్-అథ - once then; తపన-ఉపరాగ-కాలే - in the solar eclipse time; పురి నిదధత్ - in the city leaving; కృతవర్మ-కామసూనూ - Kritavarma and Aniruddha; యదుకుల్-మహిలా-ఆవృతః - the Yadus and their women folk along with; సుతీర్థం సముపగతః-అసి - to the holy spot (Thou) went; సమంతపంచక-ఆఖ్యం - Samantapanchaka known as;
Translation
Once then during the time of Solar eclipse, leaving behind Kritvarma and Anirudhdha in charge of Dwaarika, Thou went to the holy spot known as Samantapanchaka, along with the Yaadava clan and their womenfolk.
శ్లోకః
బహుతరజనతాహితాయ తత్ర త్వమపి పునన్ వినిమజ్య తీర్థతోయమ్ ।
ద్విజగణపరిముక్తవిత్తరాశిః సమమిలథాః కురుపాండవాదిమిత్రైః ॥2॥
Meaning
బహుతర-జనతా-హితాయ - for the large number of peoples benefit; తత్ర త్వం-అపి - there Thou also; పునన్ - sanctifying; వినిమజ్య తీర్థ-తోయం - dipping into the holy waters; ద్విజ-గణ-పరిముక్త- - for the Braahmin groups giving away; విత్త-రాశిః - money in large quantity; సమమిలథాః - (Thou) interacted; కురు-పాండవ-ఆది-మిత్రైః - with the Kauravas and Pandavas and other friends;
Translation
Thou also took a dip in the holy waters and thereby sanctified the waters for the benefit of the large number of people. Thou also gave away money in good amount to the group of the Braahmins. Then Thou interacted with Thy friends the Kauravas and the Paandavas and others.
శ్లోకః
తవ ఖలు దయితాజనైః సమేతా ద్రుపదసుతా త్వయి గాఢభక్తిభారా ।
తదుదితభవదాహృతిప్రకారైః అతిముముదే సమమన్యభామినీభిః ॥3॥
Meaning
తవ ఖలు దయితా-జనైః - Thy indeed with the wives; సమేతా - mixing; ద్రుపదసుతా త్వయి - Draupadi in Thee; గాఢ-భక్తి-భారా - deep devotion carrying; తత్-ఉదిత- - by them said; భవత్-ఆహృతి-ప్రకారైః - Thy carrying (them) away methods; అతి-ముముదే - was very delighted; సమం-అన్య-భామినీభిః - with other women;
Translation
Draupadi who was deeply devoted to Thee, freely mixed with Thy wives. She was very much delighted when they narrated the various methods by which they were abducted and married by Thee. The other women also enjoyed the narrations.
శ్లోకః
తదను చ భగవన్ నిరీక్ష్య గోపానతికుతుకాదుపగమ్య మానయిత్వా।
చిరతరవిరహాతురాంగరేఖాః పశుపవధూః సరసం త్వమన్వయాసీః ॥4॥
Meaning
తదను చ భగవన్ - and after that O Lord!; నిరీక్ష్య గోపాన్- - seeing the gopas; అతి-కుతుకాత్- - with great joy; ఉపగమ్య మానయిత్వా - approaching and honoring them; చిరతర-విరహ-ఆతుర- - for very long separation (from Thee) suffering; అంగ-రేఖాః - body frailed; పశుప-వధూః - the gopikas; సరసం త్వం-అన్వయాసీః - joyfully Thee approached;
Translation
After that O Lord! Seeing the gopas Thou approached and honoured them with great joy. The gopikas had become frail in body due to the sorrow of separation from Thee for a very long time. Thou joyfully went to them also.
శ్లోకః
సపది చ భవదీక్షణోత్సవేన ప్రముషితమానహృదాం నితంబినీనామ్ ।
అతిరసపరిముక్తకంచులీకే పరిచయహృద్యతరే కుచే న్యలైషీః ॥5॥
Meaning
సపది చ - and soon; భవత్-ఈక్షణ-ఉత్సవేన - Thee seeing celebration; ప్రముషిత-మాన-హృదాం - wiped away the complaints from their hearts; నితంబినీనాం - of the beautiful women; అతి-రస-పరిముక్త- - intense love giving away; కంచులీకే - their bodices; పరిచయ-హృద్యతరే - in the familiar and very dear; కుచే న్యలైషీః - breasts (Thou) got absorbed;
Translation
Instantly then, celebrating the joy of Thy sight all complaints from the hearts of the beautiful women were wiped away. With the intense love welled up, their bodices burst open revealing their very dear familiar breasts where Thou got absorbed.
శ్లోకః
రిపుజనకలహైః పునః పునర్మే సముపగతైరియతీ విలంబనాఽభూత్ ।
ఇతి కృతపరిరంభణేత్వయి ద్రాక్ అతివివశా ఖలు రాధికా నిలిల్యే ॥6॥
Meaning
రిపు-జన-కలహైః - enemies in conflict; పునః పునః- - again and again; మే సముపగతైః- - my, by happening; ఇయతీ విలంబనా- - so much delay; అభూత్ - became; ఇతి కృత-పరిరంభణే- - thus making embrace; త్వయి ద్రాక్ - by Thee immediately; అతివివశా - very overwhelmed; ఖలు రాధికా - indeed Raadhika; నిలిల్యే - became absorbed;
Translation
Raadhikaa was totally absorbed in Thee when Thou embraced her and told her that so much delay was caused in meeting her and the gopikas because of frequent clashes with the enemies.
శ్లోకః
అపగతవిరహవ్యథాస్తదా తా రహసి విధాయ దదాథ తత్త్వబోధమ్ ।
పరమసుఖచిదాత్మకోఽహమాత్మేత్యుదయతు వః స్ఫుటమేవ చేతసీతి ॥7॥
Meaning
అపగత-విరహ-వ్యథాః- - (who were) free of the separation pangs; తదా తాః - then they (the gopikas); రహసి విధాయ - privately making; దదాథ తత్త్వ-బోధం - gave the knowledge of Reality; పరమ-సుఖ-చిత్- - Supreme Bliss Consciousness; ఆత్మకః-అహం-ఆత్మా- - Brahamana am I, the self; ఇతి-ఉదయతు వః - thus may dawn in you; స్ఫుటం-ఏవ - very clearly only; చేతసి-ఇతి - in your hearts, thus;
Translation
Then the gopikas were rendered free from the pangs of separation as Thou gave them the knowledge of Supreme self privately. Thou instilled into their hearts that Thou were the Supreme Bliss Consciousness and the Supreme Brahaman, their inner most self.
శ్లోకః
సుఖరసపరిమిశ్రితో వియోగః కిమపి పురాఽభవదుద్ధవోపదేశైః ।
సమభవదముతః పరం తు తాసాం పరమసుఖైక్యమయీ భవద్విచింతా ॥8॥
Meaning
సుఖ-రస-పరిమిశ్రితః - with joy mixed; వియోగః కిం-అపి - separation somehow; పురా-అభవత్- - formerly happened; ఉద్ధవ-ఉపదేశైః - by Uddhava's preachings; సమభవత్-అముతః - (but) happened by this; పరం తు తాసాం - after (this) indeed to them; పరం-సుఖ-ఐక్యమయీ - Supreme Blissful Union; భవత్-విచింతా - (with Thee by) Thy (mere) thought;
Translation
There remained a feeling of joy mixed with the sorrow of separation when long back the gopikas were advised by Uddhava. But after this instruction by Thee, they indeed were experiencing Supreme Blissful Union with Thee by a mere thought of Thee.
శ్లోకః
మునివరనివహైస్తవాథ పిత్రా దురితశమాయ శుభాని పృచ్ఛ్యమానైః ।
త్వయి సతి కిమిదం శుభాంతరైః రిత్యురుహసితైరపి యాజితస్తదాఽసౌ ॥9॥
Meaning
ముని-వర-నివహైః- - by the great sages groups; తవ-అథ పిత్రా - Thy then father; దురిత-శమాయ - for son's atonement; శుభాని - auspicious rites; పృచ్ఛ్యమానైః - were being asked; త్వయి సతి - Thou being there; కిం-ఇదం-శుభ-అంతరైః- - what this auspicious rite others; ఇతి-ఉరు-హసితైః-అపి - thus loudly laughing also; యాజితః-తదా-అసౌ - made to perform sacrifices then he (Vasudeva);
Translation
Vasudeva asked the assembly of the great sages about the auspicious rites to be performed for the atonement for the sins. Even though the sages were very amused and laughed at such an enquiry, because having Thee as a son there was no need for any atonements. But they made him perform the required rites all the same.
శ్లోకః
సుమహతి యజనే వితాయమానే ప్రముదితమిత్రజనే సహైవ గోపాః ।
యదుజనమహితాస్త్రిమాసమాత్రం భవదనుషంగరసం పురేవ భేజు ః ॥10॥
Meaning
సుమహతి యజనే - during the very big sacrifice; వితాయమానే - which was being performed; ప్రముదిత-మిత్ర-జనే - with the delighted friends; సహ-ఏవ గోపాః - also along with the gopas; యదు-జన-మహితాః - by the Yaadavas honoured; త్రి-మాస-మాత్రం - for three months; భవత్-అనుషంగ-రసం - Thy company's pleasure; పురా-ఏవ భేజుః - like the olden times enjoyed;
Translation
The very big sacrifice was performed which lasted for three months. During that time Thy friends and the gopas were honoured by the Yaadavas and they enjoyed Thy company's pleasure like in the olden days.
శ్లోకః
వ్యపగమసమయే సమేత్య రాధాం దృఢముపగూహ్య నిరీక్ష్య వీతఖేదామ్ ।
ప్రముదితహృదయః పురం ప్రయాతః పవనపురేశ్వర పాహి మాం గదేభ్యః ॥11॥
Meaning
వ్యపగమ-సమయే - at the departing time; సమేత్య రాధాం - approaching Raadhaa; దృఢం-ఉపగూహ్య - tightly embracing; నిరీక్ష్య వీత-ఖేదాం - seeing (her) free from sorrow; ప్రముదిత-హృదయః - with a happy heart; పురం-ప్రయాతః - Thou went back (to Dwaarika); పవనపురేశ్వర - O Lord of Guruvaayur!; పాహి మాం గదేభ్యః - save me from ailments;
Translation
At the time of departing Thou approached Raadhaa. As Thou held her in a tight embrace Thou were happy to see her free from all sorrow of separation or otherwise. Thou returned to Dwaarikaa with a happy heart. O Lord of Guruvaayur! Save me from all ailments.
