శ్రీభగవానువాచ
భూయ ఏవ మహాబాహో శ‍ఋణు మే పరమం వచః ।
యత్తేఽహం ప్రీయమాణాయ వక్ష్యామి హితకామ్యయా ॥ 1 ॥
Meaning
శ్రీ-భగవాన్ ఉవాచ — Bhagavan Sri Krishna said; భూయః — again; ఏవ — certainly; మహా-బాహో — O mighty-armed; శృణు — just hear; మే — My; పరమమ్ — supreme; వచః — instruction; యత్ — that which; తే — to you; అహమ్ — I; ప్రీయమాణాయ — thinking you dear to Me; వక్ష్యామి — say; హిత-కామ్యయా — for your benefit.
Translation
Bhagavan Sri Krishna said: Listen again, O mighty-armed Arjuna. Because you are My dear friend, for your benefit I shall speak to you further, giving knowledge that is better than what I have already explained.
శ్లోకః
న మే విదుః సురగణాః ప్రభవం న మహర్షయః ।
అహమాదిర్హి దేవానాం మహర్షీణాం చ సర్వశః ॥ 2 ॥
Meaning
న — never; మే — My; విదుః — know; సుర-గణాః — the demigods; ప్రభవమ్ — origin, opulences; న — never; మహా-ఋషయః — great sages; అహమ్ — I am; ఆదిః — the origin; హి — certainly; దేవానామ్ — of the demigods; మహా-ఋషీణామ్ — of the great sages; చ — also; సర్వశః — in all respects.
Translation
Neither the hosts of demigods nor the great sages know My origin or opulences, for, in every respect, I am the source of the demigods and sages.
శ్లోకః
యో మామజమనాదిం చ వేత్తి లోకమహేశ్వరమ్ ।
అసమ్మూఢః స మర్త్యేషు సర్వపాపైః ప్రముచ్యతే ॥ 3 ॥
Meaning
యః — anyone who; మామ్ — Me; అజమ్ — unborn; అనాదిమ్ — without beginning; చ — also; వేత్తి — knows; లోక — of the planets; మహా-ఈశ్వరమ్ — the supreme master; అసమ్మూఢః — undeluded; సః — he; మర్త్యేషు — among those subject to death; సర్వ-పాపైః — from all sinful reactions; ప్రముచ్యతే — is delivered.
Translation
He who knows Me as the unborn, as the beginningless, as the Supreme Lord of all the worlds – he only, undeluded among men, is freed from all sins.
శ్లోకః
బుద్ధిర్జ్ఞానమసమ్మోహః క్షమా సత్యం దమః శమః ।
సుఖం దుఃఖం భవోఽభావో భయం చాభయమేవ చ ॥ 4 ॥
అహింసా సమతా తుష్టిస్తపో దానం యశోఽయశః ।
భవన్తి భావా భూతానాం మత్త ఏవ పృథగ్విధాః ॥ 5 ॥

Translation
Intelligence, knowledge, freedom from doubt and delusion, forgiveness, truthfulness, control of the senses, control of the mind, happiness and distress, birth, death, fear, fearlessness, nonviolence, equanimity, satisfaction, austerity, charity, fame and infamy – all these various qualities of living beings are created by Me alone.
శ్లోకః
మహర్షయః సప్త పూర్వే చత్వారో మనవస్తథా ।
మద్భ‍ఆవా మానసా జాతా యేషాం లోక ఇమాః ప్రజాః ॥ 6 ॥
Meaning
మహా-ఋషయః — the great sages; సప్త — seven; పూర్వే — before; చత్వారః — four; మనవః — Manus; తథా — also; మత్-భావాః — born of Me; మానసాః — from the mind; జాతాః — born; యేషామ్ — of them; లోకే — in the world; ఇమాః — all this; ప్రజాః — population.
Translation
The seven great sages and before them the four other great sages and the Manus [progenitors of mankind] come from Me, born from My mind, and all the living beings populating the various planets descend from them.
శ్లోకః
ఏతాం విభూతిం యోగం చ మమ యో వేత్తి తత్త్వతః ।
సోఽవికల్పేన యోగేన యుజ్యతే నాత్ర సంశయః ॥ 7 ॥
Meaning
ఏతామ్ — all this; విభూతిమ్ — opulence; యోగమ్ — mystic power; చ — also; మమ — of Mine; యః — anyone who; వేత్తి — knows; తత్త్వతః — factually; సః — he; అవికల్పేన — without division; యోగేన — in devotional service; యుజ్యతే — is engaged; న — never; అత్ర — here; సంశయః — doubt.
Translation
One who is factually convinced of this opulence and mystic power of Mine engages in unalloyed devotional service; of this there is no doubt.
శ్లోకః
అహం సర్వస్య ప్రభవో మత్తః సర్వం ప్రవర్తతే ।
ఇతి మత్వా భజన్తే మాం బుధా భావసమన్వితాః ॥ 8 ॥
Meaning
అహమ్ — I; సర్వస్య — of all; ప్రభవః — the source of generation; మత్తః — from Me; సర్వమ్ — everything; ప్రవర్తతే — emanates; ఇతి — thus; మత్వా — knowing; భజన్తే — become devoted; మామ్ — unto Me; బుధాః — the learned; భావ-సమన్వితాః — with great attention.
Translation
I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.
శ్లోకః
మచ్చిత్తా మద్గ‍తప్రాణా బోధయన్తః పరస్పరమ్ ।
కథయన్తశ్చ మాం నిత్యం తుష్యన్తి చ రమన్తి చ ॥ 9 ॥
Meaning
మత్-చిత్తాః — their minds fully engaged in Me; మత్-గత-ప్రాణాః — their lives devoted to Me; బోధయన్తః — preaching; పరస్పరమ్ — among themselves; కథయన్తః — talking; చ — also; మామ్ — about Me; నిత్యమ్ — perpetually; తుష్యన్తి — become pleased; చ — also; రమన్తి — enjoy transcendental bliss; చ — also.
Translation
The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.
శ్లోకః
తేషాం సతతయుక్తానాం భజతాం ప్రీతిపూర్వకమ్ ।
దదామి బుద్ధియోగం తం యేన మాముపయాన్తి తే ॥ 10 ॥
Meaning
తేషామ్ — unto them; సతత-యుక్తానామ్ — always engaged; భజతామ్ — in rendering devotional service; ప్రీతి-పూర్వకమ్ — in loving ecstasy; దదామి — I give; బుద్ధి-యోగమ్ — real intelligence; తమ్ — that; యేన — by which; మామ్ — unto Me; ఉపయాన్తి — come; తే — they.
Translation
To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.
శ్లోకః
తేషామేవానుకమ్పార్థమహమజ్ఞానజం తమః ।
నాశయామ్యాత్మభావస్థో జ్ఞానదీపేన భాస్వతా ॥ 11 ॥
Meaning
తేషామ్ — for them; ఏవ — certainly; అనుకమ్పా-అర్థమ్ — to show special mercy; అహమ్ — I; అజ్ఞాన-జమ్ — due to ignorance; తమః — darkness; నాశయామి — dispel; ఆత్మ-భావ — within their hearts; స్థః — situated; జ్ఞాన — of knowledge; దీపేన — with the lamp; భాస్వతా — glowing.
Translation
To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.

పరం బ్రహ్మ పరం ధామ పవిత్రం పరమం భవాన్ ।
పురుషం శాశ్వతం దివ్యమాదిదేవమజం విభుమ్ ॥ 12 ॥
ఆహుస్త్వామృషయః సర్వే దేవర్షిర్నారదస్తథా ।
అసితో దేవలో వ్యాసః స్వయం చైవ బ్రవీషి మే ॥ 13 ॥

Translation
Arjuna said: You are the ultimate abode, the purest, the Absolute Truth. You are the eternal, transcendental, original person, the unborn, the greatest. All the great sages such as Nārada, Asita, Devala and Vyāsa confirm this truth about You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me.
శ్లోకః
సర్వమేతదృతం మన్యే యన్మాం వదసి కేశవ ।
న హి తే భగవన్వ్యక్తిం విదుర్దేవా న దానవాః ॥ 14 ॥
Meaning
సర్వమ్ — all; ఏతత్ — this; ఋతమ్ — truth; మన్యే — I accept; యత్ — which; మామ్ — unto me; వదసి — You tell; కేశవ — O Kriṣṇa; న — never; హి — certainly; తే — Your; భగవన్ — O Personality of Godhead; వ్యక్తిమ్ — revelation; విదుః — can know; దేవాః — the demigods; న — nor; దానవాః — the demons.
Translation
O Kriṣṇa, I totally accept as truth all that You have told me. Neither the demigods nor the demons, O Lord, can understand Your personality.
శ్లోకః
స్వయమేవాత్మనాత్మానం వేత్థ త్వం పురుషోత్తమ ।
భూతభావన భూతేశ దేవదేవ జగత్పతే ॥ 15 ॥
Meaning
స్వయమ్ — personally; ఏవ — certainly; ఆత్మనా — by Yourself; ఆత్మానమ్ — Yourself; వేత్థ — know; త్వమ్ — You; పురుష-ఉత్తమ — O greatest of all persons; భూత-భావన — O origin of everything; భూత-ఈశ — O Lord of everything; దేవ-దేవ — O Lord of all demigods; జగత్-పతే — O Lord of the entire universe.
Translation
Indeed, You alone know Yourself by Your own internal potency, O Supreme Person, origin of all, Lord of all beings, God of gods, Lord of the universe!
శ్లోకః
వక్తుమర్హస్యశేషేణ దివ్యా హ్యాత్మవిభూతయః ।
యాభిర్విభూతిభిర్లోకానిమాంస్త్వం వ్యాప్య తిష్ఠసి ॥ 16 ॥
Meaning
వక్తుమ్ — to say; అర్హసి — You deserve; అశేషేణ — in detail; దివ్యాః — divine; హి — certainly; ఆత్మ — Your own; విభూతయః — opulences; యాభిః — by which; విభూతిభిః — opulences; లోకాన్ — all the planets; ఇమాన్ — these; త్వమ్ — You; వ్యాప్య — pervading; తిష్ఠసి — remain.
Translation
Please tell me in detail of Your divine opulences by which You pervade all these worlds.
శ్లోకః
కథం విద్యామహం యోగింస్త్వాం సదా పరిచిన్తయన్ ।
కేషు కేషు చ భావేషు చిన్త్యోఽసి భగవన్మయా ॥ 17 ॥
Meaning
కథమ్ — how; విద్యాం అహమ్ — shall I know; యోగిన్ — O supreme mystic; త్వామ్ — You; సదా — always; పరిచిన్తయన్ — thinking of; కేషు — in which; కేషు — in which; చ — also; భావేషు — natures; చిన్త్యః అసి — You are to be remembered; భగవన్ — O Supreme; మయా — by me.
Translation
O Kriṣṇa, O supreme mystic, how shall I constantly think of You, and how shall I know You? In what various forms are You to be remembered, O Supreme Personality of Godhead?
శ్లోకః
విస్తరేణాత్మనో యోగం విభూతిం చ జనార్దన ।
భూయః కథయ తృప్‍తిర్హి శ‍ఋణ్వతో నాస్తి మేఽమృతమ్ ॥ 18 ॥
Meaning
విస్తరేణ — in detail; ఆత్మనః — Your; యోగమ్ — mystic power; విభూతిమ్ — opulences; చ — also; జన-అర్దన — O killer of the atheists; భూయః — again; కథయ — describe; తృప్తిః — satisfaction; హి — certainly; శృణ్వతః — hearing; న అస్తి — there is not; మే — my; అమృతమ్ — nectar.
Translation
O Janārdana, again please describe in detail the mystic power of Your opulences. I am never satiated in hearing about You, for the more I hear the more I want to taste the nectar of Your words.

Translation
Bhagavan Sri Krishna said: Yes, I will tell you of My splendorous manifestations, but only of those which are prominent, O Arjuna, for My opulence is limitless.

అహమాత్మా గుడాకేశ సర్వభూతాశయస్థితః ।
అహమాదిశ్చ మధ్యం చ భూతానామన్త ఏవ చ ॥ 20 ॥

మరీచిర్మరుతామస్మి నక్షత్రాణామహం శశీ ॥ 21 ॥

Of the Ādityas I am Viṣṇu, of lights I am the radiant sun, of the Maruts I am Marīci, and among the stars I am the moon.

వేదానాం సామవేదోఽస్మి దేవానామస్మి వాసవః ।
ఇన్ద్రియాణాం మనశ్చాస్మి భూతానామస్మి చేతనా ॥ 22 ॥

Translation
Of the Vedas I am the Sāma Veda; of the demigods I am Indra, the king of heaven; of the senses I am the mind; and in living beings I am the living force [consciousness].

రుద్రాణాం శఙ్కరశ్చాస్మి విత్తేశో యక్షరక్షసామ్ ।
వసూనాం పావకశ్చాస్మి మేరుః శిఖరిణామహమ్ ॥ 23 ॥
Meaning

Translation
Of all the Rudras I am Lord Śiva, of the Yakṣas and Rākṣasas I am the Lord of wealth [Kuvera], of the Vasus I am fire [Agni], and of mountains I am Meru.

పురోధసాం చ ముఖ్యం మాం విద్ధి పార్థ బృహస్పతిమ్ ।
సేనానీనామహం స్కన్దః సరసామస్మి సాగరః ॥ 24 ॥
Meaning
పురోధసామ్ — of all priests; చ — also; ముఖ్యమ్ — the chief; మామ్ — Me; విద్ధి — understand; పార్థ — O son of Prithā; బృహస్పతిమ్ — Brihaspati; సేనానీనామ్ — of all commanders; అహమ్ — I am; స్కన్దః — Kārttikeya; సరసామ్ — of all reservoirs of water; అస్మి — I am; సాగరః — the ocean.
Translation
Of priests, O Arjuna, know Me to be the chief, Brihaspati. Of generals I am Kārttikeya, and of bodies of water I am the ocean.

మహర్షీణాం భృగురహం గిరామస్మ్యేకమక్షరమ్ ।
యజ్ఞానాం జపయజ్ఞోఽస్మి స్థావరాణాం హిమాలయః ॥ 25 ॥
Meaning
మహా-ఋషీణామ్ — among the great sages; భృగుః — Bhrigu; అహమ్ — I am; గిరామ్ — of vibrations; అస్మి — I am; ఏకం అక్షరమ్ — praṇava; యజ్ఞానామ్ — of sacrifices; జప-యజ్ఞః — chanting; అస్మి — I am; స్థావరాణామ్ — of immovable things; హిమాలయః — the Himālayan mountains.
Translation
Of the great sages I am Bhrigu; of vibrations I am the transcendental oM. Of sacrifices I am the chanting of the holy names [japa], and of immovable things I am the Himālayas.

అశ్వత్థః సర్వవృక్షాణాం దేవర్షీణాం చ నారదః ।
గన్ధర్వాణాం చిత్రరథః సిద్ధానాం కపిలో మునిః ॥ 26 ॥
Meaning
అశ్వత్థః — the banyan tree; సర్వ-వృక్షాణామ్ — of all trees; దేవ-ఋషీణామ్ — of all the sages amongst the demigods; చ — and; నారదః — Nārada; గన్ధర్వాణామ్ — of the citizens of the Gandharva planet; చిత్రరథః — Citraratha; సిద్ధానామ్ — of all those who are perfected; కపిలః మునిః — Kapila Muni.
Translation
Of all trees I am the banyan tree, and of the sages among the demigods I am Nārada. Of the Gandharvas I am Citraratha, and among perfected beings I am the sage Kapila.
శ్లోకః
ఉచ్‍చైఃశ్రవసమశ్వానాం విద్ధి మామమృతోద్భ‍వమ్ ।
ఐరావతం గజేన్ద్రాణాం నరాణాం చ నరాధిపమ్ ॥ 27 ॥
Meaning
ఉచ్చైఃశ్రవసమ్ — Uccaiḥśravā; అశ్వానామ్ — among horses; విద్ధి — know; మామ్ — Me; అమృత-ఉద్భవమ్ — produced from the churning of the ocean; ఐరావతమ్ — Airāvata; గజ-ఇన్ద్రాణామ్ — of lordly elephants; నరాణామ్ — among human beings; చ — and; నర-అధిపమ్ — the king.
Translation
Of horses know Me to be Uccaiḥśravā, produced during the churning of the ocean for nectar. Of lordly elephants I am Airāvata, and among men I am the monarch.
శ్లోకః
ఆయుధానామహం వజ్రం ధేనూనామస్మి కామధుక్ ।
ప్రజనశ్చాస్మి కన్దర్పః సర్పాణామస్మి వాసుకిః ॥ 28 ॥
Meaning
ఆయుధానామ్ — of all weapons; అహమ్ — I am; వజ్రమ్ — the thunderbolt; ధేనూనామ్ — of cows; అస్మి — I am; కామ-ధుక్ — the surabhi cow; ప్రజనః — the cause for begetting children; చ — and; అస్మి — I am; కన్దర్పః — Cupid; సర్పాణామ్ — of serpents; అస్మి — I am; వాసుకిః — Vāsuki.
Translation
Of weapons I am the thunderbolt; among cows I am the surabhi. Of causes for procreation I am Kandarpa, the god of love, and of serpents I am Vāsuki.

అనన్తశ్చాస్మి నాగానాం వరుణో యాదసామహమ్ ।
పితౄణామర్యమా చాస్మి యమః సంయమతామహమ్ ॥ 29 ॥

Of the many-hooded Nāgas I am Ananta, and among the aquatics I am the demigod Varuṇa. Of departed ancestors I am Aryamā, and among the dispensers of law I am Yama, the lord of death.

ప్రహ్లాదశ్చాస్మి దైత్యానాం కాలః కలయతామహమ్ ।
మృగాణాం చ మృగేన్ద్రోఽహం వైనతేయశ్చ పక్షిణామ్ ॥ 30 ॥

Translation
Among the Daitya demons I am the devoted Prahlāda, among subduers I am time, among beasts I am the lion, and among birds I am Garuḍa.

పవనః పవతామస్మి రామః శస్త్రభృతామహమ్ ।
ఝషాణాం మకరశ్చాస్మి స్రోతసామస్మి జాహ్నవీ ॥ 31 ॥
Meaning
పవనః — the wind; పవతామ్ — of all that purifies; అస్మి — I am; రామః — Rāma; శస్త్ర-భృతామ్ — of the carriers of weapons; అహమ్ — I am; ఝషాణామ్ — of all fish; మకరః — the shark; చ — also; అస్మి — I am; స్రోతసామ్ — of flowing rivers; అస్మి — I am; జాహ్నవీ — the river Ganges.
Translation
Of purifiers I am the wind, of the wielders of weapons I am Rāma, of fishes I am the shark, and of flowing rivers I am the Ganges.

సర్గాణామాదిరన్తశ్చ మధ్యం చైవాహమర్జున ।
అధ్యాత్మవిద్యా విద్యానాం వాదః ప్రవదతామహమ్ ॥ 32 ॥
Meaning

Translation
Of all creations I am the beginning and the end and also the middle, O Arjuna. Of all sciences I am the spiritual science of the self, and among logicians I am the conclusive truth.
శ్లోకః
అక్షరాణామకారోఽస్మి ద్వన్ద్వః సామాసికస్య చ ।
అహమేవాక్షయః కాలో ధాతాహం విశ్వతోముఖః ॥ 33 ॥
Meaning
అక్షరాణామ్ — of letters; అ-కారః — the first letter; అస్మి — I am; ద్వన్ద్వః — the dual; సామాసికస్య — of compounds; చ — and; అహమ్ — I am; ఏవ — certainly; అక్షయః — eternal; కాలః — time; ధాతా — the creator; అహమ్ — I am; విశ్వతః-ముఖః — Brahmā.
Translation
Of letters I am the letter A, and among compound words I am the dual compound. I am also inexhaustible time, and of creators I am Brahmā.
శ్లోకః
మృత్యుః సర్వహరశ్చాహముద్భ‍వశ్చ భవిష్యతామ్ ।
కీర్తిః శ్రీర్వాక్‍చ నారీణాం స్మృతిర్మేధా ధృతిః క్షమా ॥ 34 ॥
Meaning
మృత్యుః — death; సర్వ-హరః — all-devouring; చ — also; అహమ్ — I am; ఉద్భవః — generation; చ — also; భవిష్యతామ్ — of future manifestations; కీర్తిః — fame; శ్రీః — opulence or beauty; వాక్ — fine speech; చ — also; నారీణామ్ — of women; స్మృతిః — memory; మేధా — intelligence; ధృతిః — firmness; క్షమా — patience.
Translation
I am all-devouring death, and I am the generating principle of all that is yet to be. Among women I am fame, fortune, fine speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness and patience.
శ్లోకః
బృహత్సామ తథా సామ్న‍ఆం గాయత్రీ ఛన్దసామహమ్ ।
మాసానాం మార్గశీర్షోఽహమృతూనాం కుసుమాకరః ॥ 35 ॥
Meaning
బృహత్-సామ — the Brihat-sāma; తథా — also; సామ్నామ్ — of the Sāma Veda songs; గాయత్రీ — the Gāyatrī hymns; చన్దసామ్ — of all poetry; అహమ్ — I am; మాసానామ్ — of months; మార్గ-శీర్షః — the month of November-December; అహమ్ — I am; ఋతూనామ్ — of all seasons; కుసుమ-ఆకరః — spring.
Translation
Of the hymns in the Sāma Veda I am the Brihat-sāma, and of poetry I am the Gāyatrī. Of months I am Mārgaśīrṣa [November-December], and of seasons I am flower-bearing spring.
శ్లోకః
ద్యూతం ఛలయతామస్మి తేజస్తేజస్వినామహమ్ ।
జయోఽస్మి వ్యవసాయోఽస్మి సత్త్వం సత్త్వవతామహమ్ ॥ 36 ॥
Meaning
ద్యూతమ్ — gambling; చలయతామ్ — of all cheats; అస్మి — I am; తేజః — the splendor; తేజస్వినామ్ — of everything splendid; అహమ్ — I am; జయః — victory; అస్మి — I am; వ్యవసాయః — enterprise or adventure; అస్మి — I am; సత్త్వమ్ — the strength; సత్త్వ-వతామ్ — of the strong; అహమ్ — I am.
Translation
I am also the gambling of cheats, and of the splendid I am the splendor. I am victory, I am adventure, and I am the strength of the strong.
శ్లోకః
వృష్ణీనాం వాసుదేవోఽస్మి పాణ్డవానాం ధనఞ్జయః ।
మునీనామప్యహం వ్యాసః కవీనాముశనా కవిః ॥ 37 ॥
Meaning
వృష్ణీనామ్ — of the descendants of Vriṣṇi; వాసుదేవః — Kriṣṇa in Dvārakā; అస్మి — I am; పాణ్డవానామ్ — of the Pāṇḍavas; ధనమ్-జయః — Arjuna; మునీనామ్ — of the sages; అపి — also; అహమ్ — I am; వ్యాసః — Vyāsa, the compiler of all Vedic literature; కవీనామ్ — of all great thinkers; ఉశనా — Uśanā; కవిః — the thinker.
Translation
Of the descendants of Vriṣṇi I am Vāsudeva, and of the Pāṇḍavas I am Arjuna. Of the sages I am Vyāsa, and among great thinkers I am Uśanā.

దణ్డో దమయతామస్మి నీతిరస్మి జిగీషతామ్ ।
మౌనం చైవాస్మి గుహ్యానాం జ్ఞానం జ్ఞానవతామహమ్ ॥ 38 ॥
Meaning
దణ్డః — punishment; దమయతామ్ — of all means of suppression; అస్మి — I am; నీతిః — morality; అస్మి — I am; జిగీషతామ్ — of those who seek victory; మౌనమ్ — silence; చ — and; ఏవ — also; అస్మి — I am; గుహ్యానామ్ — of secrets; జ్ఞానమ్ — knowledge; జ్ఞాన-వతామ్ — of the wise; అహమ్ — I am.
Translation
Among all means of suppressing lawlessness I am punishment, and of those who seek victory I am morality. Of secret things I am silence, and of the wise I am the wisdom.
శ్లోకః
యచ్చ‍ఆపి సర్వభూతానాం బీజం తదహమర్జున ।
న తదస్తి వినా యత్స్యాన్మయా భూతం చరాచరమ్ ॥ 39 ॥
Meaning
యత్ — whatever; చ — also; అపి — may be; సర్వ-భూతానామ్ — of all creations; బీజమ్ — seed; తత్ — that; అహమ్ — I am; అర్జున — O Arjuna; న — not; తత్ — that; అస్తి — there is; వినా — without; యత్ — which; స్యాత్ — exists; మయా — Me; భూతమ్ — created being; చర-అచరమ్ — moving and nonmoving.
Translation
Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.
శ్లోకః
నాన్తోఽస్తి మమ దివ్యానాం విభూతీనాం పరన్తప ।
ఏష తూద్దేశతః ప్రోక్తో విభూతేర్విస్తరో మయా ॥ 40 ॥
Meaning
న — nor; అన్తః — a limit; అస్తి — there is; మమ — My; దివ్యానామ్ — of the divine; విభూతీనామ్ — opulences; పరమ్-తప — O conqueror of the enemies; ఏషః — all this; తు — but; ఉద్దేశతః — as examples; ప్రోక్తః — spoken; విభూతేః — of opulences; విస్తరః — the expanse; మయా — by Me.
Translation
O mighty conqueror of enemies, there is no end to My divine manifestations. What I have spoken to you is but a mere indication of My infinite opulences.
శ్లోకః
యద్యద్విభూతిమత్సత్త్వం శ్రీమదూర్జితమేవ వా ।
తత్తదేవావగచ్ఛ త్వం మమ తేజోఽశసమ్భవమ్ ॥ 41 ॥
Meaning
యత్ యత్ — whatever; విభూతి — opulences; మత్ — having; సత్త్వమ్ — existence; శ్రీ-మత్ — beautiful; ఊర్జితమ్ — glorious; ఏవ — certainly; వా — or; తత్ తత్ — all those; ఏవ — certainly; అవగచ్చ — must know; త్వమ్ — you; మమ — My; తేజః — of the splendor; అంశ — a part; సమ్భవమ్ — born of.
Translation
Know that all opulent, beautiful and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendor.
శ్లోకః
అథవా బహునైతేన కిం జ్ఞాతేన తవార్జున ।
విష్టభ్యాహమిదం కృత్స్నమేకాంశేన స్థితో జగత్ ॥ 42 ॥
Meaning
అథ వా — or; బహునా — many; ఏతేన — by this kind; కిమ్ — what; జ్ఞాతేన — by knowing; తవ — your; అర్జున — O Arjuna; విష్టభ్య — pervading; అహమ్ — I; ఇదమ్ — this; కృత్స్నమ్ — entire; ఏక — by one; అంశేన — part; స్థితః — am situated; జగత్ — universe.
Translation
But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.
