ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਪ੍ਰਾਗੇਵਾਚਾਰ੍ਯਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਨਿਸ਼ਮਨਯਾ ਸ੍ਵੀਯਸ਼ਟ੍ਸੂਨੁਵੀਕ੍ਸ਼ਾਂ
ਕਾਂਕ੍ਸ਼ਂਤ੍ਯਾ ਮਾਤੁਰੁਕ੍ਤ੍ਯਾ ਸੁਤਲਭੁਵਿ ਬਲਿਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਤੇਨਾਰ੍ਚਿਤਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ।
ਧਾਤੁਃ ਸ਼ਾਪਾਦ੍ਧਿਰਣ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਵਿਤਕਸ਼ਿਪੁਭਵਾਨ੍ ਸ਼ੌਰਿਜਾਨ੍ ਕਂਸਭਗ੍ਨਾ-
ਨਾਨੀਯੈਨਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਦਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਯ ਸ੍ਵਪਦਮਨਯਥਾਃ ਪੂਰ੍ਵਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਨ੍ ਮਰੀਚੇਃ ॥1॥

Meaning
ਪ੍ਰਾਕ੍-ਏਵ- - long back only; ਆਚਾਰ੍ਯ-ਪੁਤ੍ਰ-ਆਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿ- - (thy) teacher's son bringing back; ਨਿਸ਼ਮਨਯਾ - hearing about; ਸ੍ਵੀਯ-ਸ਼ਟ੍-ਸੂਨੁ- - (her) own six sons; ਵੀਕ੍ਸ਼ਾਂ ਕਾਂਕ੍ਸ਼ਂਤ੍ਯਾ - to see desiring; ਮਾਤੁਃ-ਉਕ੍ਤ੍ਯਾ - at (Thy) mother's words; ਸੁਤਲ-ਭੁਵਿ ਬਲਿਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ - in the Sutala land going to Mahaabali; ਤੇਨ-ਅਰ੍ਚਿਤਃ-ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ - by him were honoured Thou; ਧਾਤੁਃ ਸ਼ਾਪਾਤ੍- - by Brahmaa's curse; ਹਿਰਣ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਵਿਤਕਸ਼ਿਪੁ - of Hiranyakashipu born; ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਸ਼ੌਰਿਜਾਨ੍ - Thou (them) born of Vasudeva; ਕਂਸ-ਭਗ੍ਨਾਨ੍- - by Kansa killed; ਆਨੀਯ-ਏਨਾਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਦਰ੍ਸ਼੍ਯ - bringing them and showing them; ਸ੍ਵਪਦਮ੍-ਅਨਯਥਾਃ - to Thy abode took (them); ਪੂਰ੍ਵ-ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਨ੍-ਮਰੀਚੇਃ - (who were) formerly the sons of Marichi;

Translation
Thy mother had long back heard of Thy having brought back Thy teacher Saandipini's son and she desired of Thee to be shown her six dead sons. By Thy mother's words Thou went to the Sutala land and met Mahaabali and were greatly honoured by him. From there Thou brought back the six sons who were originally Marichi's sons and were later born to Hiranyakashipu by a curse of Brahmaa. They later took birth as Vasudeva and Devaki's sons, who were killed by Kansa. Thou took them to Thy abode.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤਦੇਵ ਇਤਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤਂ ਦ੍ਵਿਜੇਂਦ੍ਰਂ
ਬਹੁਲਾਸ਼੍ਵਂ ਨ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਪਤਿਂ ਚ ਭਕ੍ਤਿਪੂਰ੍ਣਮ੍ ।
ਯੁਗਪਤ੍ਤ੍ਵਮਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੀਤੁਕਾਮੋ
ਮਿਥਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਿਥਂ ਤਾਪਸੈਃ ਸਮੇਤਃ ॥2॥

Meaning
ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤਦੇਵ - Shrutadeva; ਇਤਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤਂ - thus well known; ਦ੍ਵਿਜੇਂਦ੍ਰਮ੍ - the great Braahmina; ਬਹੁਲਾਸ਼੍ਵਮ੍ - (and) Bahulaashwa; ਨ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਪਤਿਂ ਚ ਭਕ੍ਤਿਪੂਰ੍ਣਮ੍ - the king and full of devotion; ਯੁਗਪਤ੍- - at the same time; ਤ੍ਵਮ੍-ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੀਤੁ-ਕਾਮਃ - Thou, to bless, desiring; ਮਿਥਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਿਥ - to Mithilaa went; ਤਾਪਸੈਃ ਸਮੇਤਃ - ascetics with;

Translation
With the desire to bless both the great well known Braahmina Shrutadeva and the deeply devoted king Bahulaashwa, Thou went to Mithilaa along with many ascetics.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਗਚ੍ਛਨ੍ ਦ੍ਵਿਮੂਰ੍ਤਿਰੁਭਯੋਰ੍ਯੁਗਪਨ੍ਨਿਕੇਤ-
ਮੇਕੇਨ ਭੂਰਿਵਿਭਵੈਰ੍ਵਿਹਿਤੋਪਚਾਰਃ ।
ਅਨ੍ਯੇਨ ਤਦ੍ਦਿਨਭ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤੈਸ਼੍ਚ ਫਲੌਦਨਾਦ੍ਯੈ-
ਸ੍ਤੁਲ੍ਯਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੇਦਿਥ ਦਦਥ ਚ ਮੁਕ੍ਤਿਮਾਭ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ॥3॥

Meaning
ਗਚ੍ਛਨ੍-ਦ੍ਵਿਮੂਰ੍ਤਿਃ- - going in two (similar) forms; ਉਭਯੋਃ-ਯੁਗਪਤ੍- - to both at the same time; ਨਿਕੇਤਮ੍- - the houses; ਏਕੇਨ ਭੂਰਿਵਿਭਵੈਃ- - by one with plenty of rich offerings; ਵਿਹਿਤ-ਉਪਚਾਰਃ - performed (Thy) worship; ਅਨ੍ਯੇਨ - by the other; ਤਤ੍-ਦਿਨ-ਭ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤੈਃ-ਚ - and with that day's alms; ਫਲ-ਓਦਨ-ਆਦ੍ਯੈਃ- - fruits rice and others; ਤੁਲ੍ਯਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੇਦਿਥ - equally pleased; ਦਦਾਥ ਚ - and gave; ਮੁਕ੍ਤਿਮ੍-ਆਭ੍ਯਮ੍ - liberation to both;

Translation
Thou went to the house of both of them at the same time by assuming two identical forms. One, the king received and worshipped Thee with plenty of rich offerings. While the other, the Braahmina worshipped Thee and offered to Thee the fruits and rice and other things obtained as alms that day. Thou were equally pleased with both of them and bestowed Mukti (liberation) on them.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਭੂਯੋ਽ਥ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤ੍ਯਾਂ ਦ੍ਵਿਜਤਨਯਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਂ ਤਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਲਾਪਾਨਪਿ ਤ੍ਵਮ੍
ਕੋ ਵਾ ਦੈਵਂ ਨਿਰੁਂਧ੍ਯਾਦਿਤਿ ਕਿਲ ਕਥਯਨ੍ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਵੋਢਾਪ੍ਯਸੋਢਾਃ ।
ਜਿਸ਼੍ਣੋਰ੍ਗਰ੍ਵਂ ਵਿਨੇਤੁਂ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਮਨੁਜਧਿਯਾ ਕੁਂਠਿਤਾਂ ਚਾਸ੍ਯ ਬੁਦ੍ਧਿਂ
ਤਤ੍ਤ੍ਵਾਰੂਢਾਂ ਵਿਧਾਤੁਂ ਪਰਮਤਮਪਦਪ੍ਰੇਕ੍ਸ਼ਣੇਨੇਤਿ ਮਨ੍ਯੇ ॥4॥

Meaning
ਭੂਯਃ-ਅਥ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤ੍ਯਾਂ - again then in Dwaarikaa; ਦ੍ਵਿਜ-ਤਨਯ-ਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਮ੍ - the Braahmin's son's death; ਤਤ੍-ਪ੍ਰਲਾਪਾਨ੍-ਅਪਿ ਤ੍ਵਮ੍ - his lamentation also Thou; ਕੋ ਵਾ ਦੈਵਂ ਨਿਰੁਂਧ੍ਯਾਤ੍- - who indeed can resist fate; ਇਤਿ ਕਿਲ ਕਥਯਨ੍ - indeed saying; ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵ-ਵੋਢਾ-ਅਪਿ- - the whole world's support even; ਅਸੋਢਾਃ - did not support; ਜਿਸ਼੍ਣੋਃ-ਗਰ੍ਵਮ੍ - Arjuna's pride; ਵਿਨੇਤੁਮ੍ਤ੍ਵਯਿ - to take away, in Thee; ਮਨੁਜ-ਧਿਯਾ - of a mere human being thinking; ਕੁਂਠਿਤਾਂ ਚ-ਅਸ੍ਯ ਬੁਦ੍ਧਿਮ੍ - and (his) blunted intellect; ਤਤ੍ਤ੍ਵ-ਆਰੂਢਾਂ ਵਿਧਾਤੁਂ - to the Truth's higher level to bring; ਪਰਮਤਮ-ਪਦ-ਪ੍ਰੇਕ੍ਸ਼ਣੇਨ- - the Supreme abode by showing; ਇਤਿ ਮਨ੍ਯੇ - thus I believe;

Translation
Again then in Dwaarikaa, there was a Braahmin whose children died just when they were born. To the wails and lamentations of the father Thou had just to say that who could resist fate. May be, I believe, seeing this Arjuna's mind was blunted into thinking that Thou were merely a human being. To curb his pride and to take him to the high level of realizing the Truth, Thou showed him the Supreme abode, Vaikuntha.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਨਸ਼੍ਟਾ ਅਸ਼੍ਟਾਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਃ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਤਵ ਤੂਪੇਕ੍ਸ਼ਯਾ ਕਸ਼੍ਟਵਾਦਃ
ਸ੍ਪਸ਼੍ਟੋ ਜਾਤੋ ਜਨਾਨਾਮਥ ਤਦਵਸਰੇ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਕਾਮਾਪ ਪਾਰ੍ਥਃ ।
ਮੈਤ੍ਰ੍ਯਾ ਤਤ੍ਰੋਸ਼ਿਤੋ਽ਸੌ ਨਵਮਸੁਤਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤੌ ਵਿਪ੍ਰਵਰ੍ਯਪ੍ਰਰੋਦਂ
ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਚਕ੍ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਜ੍ਞਾਮਨੁਪਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਸੁਤਃ ਸਨ੍ਨਿਵੇਕ੍ਸ਼੍ਯੇ ਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼ਾਨੁਮ੍ ॥5॥

Meaning
ਨਸ਼੍ਟਾਃ-ਅਸ਼੍ਟ-ਅਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾਃ - are dead eight of his sons; ਪੁਨਃ-ਅਪਿ ਤਵ ਤੁ- - again also Thy indeed; ਉਪੇਕ੍ਸ਼ਯਾ ਕਸ਼੍ਟਵਾਦਃ - indifference (because of which) disrepute; ਸ੍ਪਸ਼੍ਟਃ ਜਾਤਃ - clear it was made; ਜਨਾਨਾਮ੍-ਅਥ - of the public (in general)then; ਤਤ੍-ਅਵਸਰੇ - at that time; ਦ੍ਵਾਰਕਾਮ੍-ਆਪ ਪਾਰ੍ਥਃ - to Dwaarikaa reached Arjuna; ਮੈਤ੍ਰ੍ਯਾ ਤਤ੍ਰ- - due to friendship there (in Dwaarikaa); ਉਸ਼ਿਤਃ-ਅਸੌ - staying he; ਨਵਮ-ਸੁਤ-ਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤੌ - the ninth son having died; ਵਿਪ੍ਰਵਰ੍ਯ-ਪ੍ਰਰੋਦਂ - the great Braahmina's crying; ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਚਕ੍ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਜ੍ਞਾਮ੍- - hearing, made a promise; ਅਨੁਪਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤ-ਸੁਤਃ - (in case of) not bringing back the son; ਸਨ੍ਨਿਵੇਕ੍ਸ਼੍ਯੇ ਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼ਾਨੁਮ੍ - (he) would enter fire;

Translation
People began to speak ill of Thee at Thy indifference towards the Braahmina even after he had lost eight sons. At that time Arjuna came and stayed at Dwaarikaa on a friendly visit. When he heard the wailing and lamentations of the Braahminaa on having lost his ninth son, he was very much moved. He vowed to bring back the son failing which he would immolate himself in fire.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਮਾਨੀ ਸ ਤ੍ਵਾਮਪ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਦ੍ਵਿਜਨਿਲਯਗਤੋ ਬਾਣਜਾਲੈਰ੍ਮਹਾਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੈ
ਰੁਂਧਾਨਃ ਸੂਤਿਗੇਹਂ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਸਹਸਾ ਦ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟਨਸ਼੍ਟੇ ਕੁਮਾਰੇ ।
ਯਾਮ੍ਯਾਮੈਂਦ੍ਰੀਂ ਤਥਾ਽ਨ੍ਯਾਃ ਸੁਰਵਰਨਗਰੀਰ੍ਵਿਦ੍ਯਯਾ਽਽ਸਾਦ੍ਯ ਸਦ੍ਯੋ
ਮੋਘੋਦ੍ਯੋਗਃ ਪਤਿਸ਼੍ਯਨ੍ ਹੁਤਭੁਜਿ ਭਵਤਾ ਸਸ੍ਮਿਤਂ ਵਾਰਿਤੋ਽ਭੂਤ੍ ॥6॥

Meaning
ਮਾਨੀ ਸ ਤ੍ਵਾਮ੍-ਅਪ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ - proud he, without asking Thee; ਦ੍ਵਿਜ-ਨਿਲਯ-ਗਤਃ - to the Braahmina's house went; ਬਾਣ-ਜਾਲੈਃ-ਮਹਾ-ਅਸ੍ਤ੍ਰੈਃ - with arrows and divine missiles; ਰੁਂਧਾਨਃ ਸੂਤਿਗੇਹਂ - blocked the labour room; ਪੁਨਃ-ਅਪਿ ਸਹਸਾ - again also suddenly; ਦ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟ-ਨਸ਼੍ਟੇ ਕੁਮਾਰੇ - vanished the child; ਯਾਮ੍ਯਾਮ੍-ਐਂਦ੍ਰੀਮ੍ - Yama's abode, Indra's abode; ਤਥਾ-ਅਨ੍ਯਾਃ - and others'; ਸੁਰਵਰ-ਨਗਰੀਃ- - gods' houses; ਵਿਦ੍ਯਯਾ-ਆਸਾਦ੍ਯ - by Yogic powers reaching; ਸਦ੍ਯਃ ਮੋਘ-ਉਦ੍ਯੋਗਃ - immediately, (his) fruitless efforts; ਪਤਿਸ਼੍ਯਨ੍ ਹੁਤਭੁਜਿ - about to fall in fire; ਭਵਤਾ ਸਸ੍ਮਿਤਮ੍ - by Thee smilingly; ਵਾਰਿਤਃ-ਅਭੂਤ੍ - prevented was;

Translation
When the tenth child was to be born, the proud Arjun went to the Braahmin's house without telling Thee. He made a protective web with his arrows and divine missiles around the labour room. Again suddenly the child's body disappeared. Immediately Arjun with his yogic powers went in search for the infant to the houses of Yama , Indra and other gods. As all his efforts were in vain he was about to enter the fire when Thou smilingly prevented him from doing so.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਸਾਰ੍ਧਂ ਤੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਚੀਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਮਤਿਜਵਿਨਾ ਸ੍ਯਂਦਨੇਨਾਭਿਯਾਤੋ
ਲੋਕਾਲੋਕਂ ਵ੍ਯਤੀਤਸ੍ਤਿਮਿਰਭਰਮਥੋ ਚਕ੍ਰਧਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਨਿਰੁਂਧਨ੍ ।
ਚਕ੍ਰਾਂਸ਼ੁਕ੍ਲਿਸ਼੍ਟਦ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟਿਂ ਸ੍ਥਿਤਮਥ ਵਿਜਯਂ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯੇਤਿ ਵਾਰਾਂ
ਪਾਰੇ ਤ੍ਵਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਦਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਃ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਹਿ ਤਮਸਾਂ ਦੂਰਦੂਰਂ ਪਦਂ ਤੇ ॥7॥

Meaning
ਸਾਰ੍ਧਂ ਤੇਨ - with him; ਪ੍ਰਤੀਚੀਂ ਦਿਸ਼ਮ੍- - to the westward direction; ਅਤਿ-ਜਵਿਨਾ ਸ੍ਯਂਦਨੇਨ- - by a very fast chariot; ਅਭਿਯਾਤਃ - going; ਲੋਕਾਲੋਕਂ ਵ੍ਯਤੀਤਃ- - (the mountain of ) Lokaaloka crossing; ਤਿਮਿਰਭਰਮ੍-ਅਥ - the darkness intense, then; ਚਕ੍ਰਧਾਮ੍ਨਾ ਨਿਰੁਂਧਨ੍ - by the splendorous discus expelling; ਚਕ੍ਰ-ਅਂਸ਼ੁ-ਕ੍ਲਿਸ਼੍ਟ-ਦ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਟਿਮ੍ - the discus rays dazzling the vision; ਸ੍ਥਿਤਮ੍-ਅਥ ਵਿਜਯਂ - standing then Arjun; ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ-ਇਤਿ - Look look' thus; ਵਾਰਾਂ ਪਾਰੇ - the waters' beyond; ਤ੍ਵਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਦਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਃ - Thou showed; ਕਿਮਪਿ ਹਿ - indescribable indeed; ਤਮਸਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਦੂਰਂ - of the Tamas Guna beyond; ਪਦਂ ਤੇ - abode of Thee;

Translation
Thou rode with Arjun on a very fast chariot and went past the mountain Lokaaloka towards the west. The intense darkness there, Thou removed by the splendor of the Sudarshana discus. Arjuna's eyes were dazzled as he stood there. Thou showed him Thy indescribable abode beyond the causal waters which was unaffected by the darkness of ignorance or the Tamas Guna.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਤਤ੍ਰਾਸੀਨਂ ਭੁਜਂਗਾਧਿਪਸ਼ਯਨਤਲੇ ਦਿਵ੍ਯਭੂਸ਼ਾਯੁਧਾਦ੍ਯੈ-
ਰਾਵੀਤਂ ਪੀਤਚੇਲਂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਵਜਲਦਸ਼੍ਯਾਮਲਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਦਂਗਮ੍ ।
ਮੂਰ੍ਤੀਨਾਮੀਸ਼ਿਤਾਰਂ ਪਰਮਿਹ ਤਿਸ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਣਾਮੇਕਮਰ੍ਥਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤੀਨਾਂ
ਤ੍ਵਾਮੇਵ ਤ੍ਵਂ ਪਰਾਤ੍ਮਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਿਯਸਖਸਹਿਤੋ ਨੇਮਿਥ ਕ੍ਸ਼ੇਮਰੂਪਮ੍ ॥8॥

Meaning
ਤਤ੍ਰ-ਆਸੀਨਮ੍ - there sitting; ਭੁਜਂਗ-ਅਧਿਪ-ਸ਼ਯਨ-ਤਲੇ - (on) the serpent king (as) bed' surface; ਦਿਵ੍ਯ-ਭੂਸ਼ਾ-ਆਯੁਧ-ਆਦ੍ਯੈਃ- - with divine attire ,weapons etc; ਆਵੀਤਂ ਪੀਤਚੇਲਂ - adorned and with a yellow (silk) garment; ਪ੍ਰਤਿਨਵ-ਜਲਦ-ਸ਼੍ਯਾਮਲਂ - fresh rain clouds like blue; ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਦਂਗਮ੍ - adorned by (the presence of) Laxmi; (ਤਿਸ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਣਾਮ੍) ਮੂਰ੍ਤਿਨਾਮ੍- - (of the Trinity) personified; ਈਸ਼ਿਤਾਰਂ ਪਰਮ੍- - Ruler Supreme; ਇਹ ਤਿਸ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਣਾਮ੍- - here (in this universe) of the Trinity; ਏਕਮ੍-ਅਰ੍ਥਮ੍-ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤੀਨਾਂ - the sole subject of the Vedas; ਤ੍ਵਾਮ੍-ਏਵ ਤ੍ਵਂ - to Thyself only Thou; ਪਰਮਾਤ੍ਮਨ੍ - O Supreme Being!; ਪ੍ਰਿਯ-ਸਖ-ਸਹਿਤਃ - dear friend along with; ਨੇਮਿਥ ਕ੍ਸ਼ੇਮਰੂਪਮ੍ - prostrated to Moksha personified;

Translation
There seated was He on the bed constituted of the king serpent Aadishesha. He was adorned with ornaments and divine weapons and yellow silk garment. Goddess Laxmi was at his side and His form had the splendour of dark fresh rain bearing clouds. He is the Supreme Ruler over the Trinity of Brahmaa Vishnu and Mahesh and is the sole subject of all the Vedas and scriptures. To That Being, the embodiment of Moksha and identical to Thyself, Thou and Thy dear friend Arjun prostrated.

ਯੁਵਾਂ ਮਾਮੇਵ ਦ੍ਵਾਵਧਿਕਵਿਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਾਂਤਰ੍ਹਿਤਤਯਾ
ਵਿਭਿਨ੍ਨੌ ਸਂਦ੍ਰਸ਼੍ਟੁਂ ਸ੍ਵਯਮਹਮਹਾਰ੍ਸ਼ਂ ਦ੍ਵਿਜਸੁਤਾਨ੍ ।
ਨਯੇਤਂ ਦ੍ਰਾਗੇਤਾਨਿਤਿ ਖਲੁ ਵਿਤੀਰ੍ਣਾਨ੍ ਪੁਨਰਮੂਨ੍
ਦ੍ਵਿਜਾਯਾਦਾਯਾਦਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਣੁਤਮਹਿਮਾ ਪਾਂਡੁਜਨੁਸ਼ਾ ॥9॥

Meaning
ਯੁਵਾਂ ਮਾਮ੍-ਏਵ ਦ੍ਵੌ- - you two are Myself alone, in two forms; ਅਧਿਕ-ਵਿਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤ-ਅਂਤਰ੍ਹਿਤਤਯਾ - by well manifested and by obstructed (divinity); ਵਿਭਿਨੌ - are different; ਸਂਦ੍ਰਸ਼੍ਟੁਂ - to see (meet); ਸ੍ਵਯਮ੍-ਅਹਮ੍-ਅਹਾਰ੍ਸ਼ਂਮ੍ - Myself I took away; ਦ੍ਵਿਜ-ਸੁਤਾਨ੍ - the Braahmin's sons; ਨਯੇਤਂ ਦ੍ਰਾਕ੍-ਏਤਾਨ੍-ਇਤਿ - take them soon, thus; ਖਲੁ ਵਿਤੀਰ੍ਣਾਨ੍ ਪੁਨਃ-ਅਮੂਨ੍ - indeed given again then; ਦ੍ਵਿਜਾਯ-ਆਦਾਯ- - for the Braahmina taking; ਅਦਾਃ - gave (them to the Braahmina); ਪ੍ਰਣੁਤ-ਮਹਿਮਾ - was sung Thy glory; ਪਾਂਡੁਜਨੁਸ਼ਾ - by Arjun;

Translation
The two of you are Myself alone. In one the divinity is potent and it is latent in the other, so you two seem different. To meet you I Myself took away the sons of the Braahmin. You may now take them away.' With such words the Supreme Lord gave away the children which Thou gave back to the Braahmina, while Arjun sang Thy glory.

ਏਵਂ ਨਾਨਾਵਿਹਾਰੈਰ੍ਜਗਦਭਿਰਮਯਨ੍ ਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਣਿਵਂਸ਼ਂ ਪ੍ਰਪੁਸ਼੍ਣ-
ਨ੍ਨੀਜਾਨੋ ਯਜ੍ਞਭੇਦੈਰਤੁਲਵਿਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਭਿਃ ਪ੍ਰੀਣਯਨ੍ਨੇਣਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਃ ।
ਭੂਭਾਰਕ੍ਸ਼ੇਪਦਂਭਾਤ੍ ਪਦਕਮਲਜੁਸ਼ਾਂ ਮੋਕ੍ਸ਼ਣਾਯਾਵਤੀਰ੍ਣਃ
ਪੂਰ੍ਣਂ ਬ੍ਰਹ੍ਮੈਵ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼ਾਦ੍ਯਦੁਸ਼ੁ ਮਨੁਜਤਾਰੂਸ਼ਿਤਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਂ ਵ੍ਯਲਾਸੀਃ ॥10॥

Meaning
ਏਵਂ ਨਾਨਾ-ਵਿਹਾਰੈਃ- - in this manner, by various sportive activities; ਜਗਤ੍-ਅਭਿਰਮਯਨ੍ - the world delighting; ਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਣਿ-ਵਂਸ਼ਂ ਪ੍ਰਪੁਸ਼੍ਣਨ੍- - the Vrishni clan nurturing; ਈਜਾਨਃ-ਯਜ੍ਞ-ਭੇਦੈਃ- - performing sacrifices by different Yangyas; ਅਤੁਲ-ਵਿਹ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਭਿਃ - by unparalleled sportive endearments; ਪ੍ਰੀਣਯਨ੍-ਏਣ-ਨੇਤ੍ਰਾਃ - pleasing the gazelle eyed (wives); ਭੂਭਾਰ-ਕ੍ਸ਼ੇਪ-ਦਂਭਾਤ੍ - the earth's burden eliminating, in the pretext of; ਪਦ-ਕਮਲ-ਜੁਸ਼ਾਂ - Thy lotus feet devoted to; ਮੋਕ੍ਸ਼ਣਾਯ-ਅਵਤੀਰ੍ਣਃ - to give (them) liberation, having incarnated; ਪੂਰ੍ਣਂ ਬ੍ਰਹ੍ਮ-ਏਵ - In finite Brahman Itself; ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼ਾਤ੍-ਯਦੁਸ਼ੁ - in material form in the Yadu clan; ਮਨੁਜਤਾ-ਰੂਸ਼ਿਤਃ- - in a human veil; ਤ੍ਵਂ ਵ੍ਯਲਾਸੀਃ - Thou shone;

Translation
In this manner Thou delighted the world by various sportive activities nurtured the Vrishni clan and performed many sacrificial rites and Yagnyas. Thou pleased the gazelle eyed wives with unparalleled sportive endearments and on the pretext of unburdening the earth gave liberation to many dependents and devotees. Thou, the incarnate Infinite Brahman Itself appeared in a material form and shone through the veil of a human form amongst the Yaadavas.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤ੍ਯਾਮਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਦਯਿ ਤਦਾ ਨਾਰਦਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਦ੍ਰਸਾਰ੍ਦ੍ਰ-
ਸ੍ਤਸ੍ਮਾਲ੍ਲੇਭੇ ਕਦਾਚਿਤ੍ਖਲੁ ਸੁਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਨਿਧਿਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਤ੍ਪਿਤਾ ਤਤ੍ਤ੍ਵਬੋਧਮ੍ ।
ਭਕ੍ਤਾਨਾਮਗ੍ਰਯਾਯੀ ਸ ਚ ਖਲੁ ਮਤਿਮਾਨੁਦ੍ਧਵਸ੍ਤ੍ਵਤ੍ਤ ਏਵ
ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤੋ ਵਿਜ੍ਞਾਨਸਾਰਂ ਸ ਕਿਲ ਜਨਹਿਤਾਯਾਧੁਨਾ਽਽ਸ੍ਤੇ ਬਦਰ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ॥11॥

Meaning
ਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣ ਦ੍ਵਾਰਵਤ੍ਯਾਮ੍- - mostly in Dwaarika; ਅਵ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਤ੍-ਅਯਿ - stayed O Lord! Thou; ਤਦਾ ਨਾਰਦਃ- - then Naarada; ਤ੍ਵਤ੍-ਰਸਾਰ੍ਦ੍ਰਃ- - in Thy bliss immersed; ਤਸ੍ਮਾਤ੍-ਲੇਭੇ - from him received; ਕਦਾਚਿਤ੍-ਖਲੁ - once indeed; ਸੁਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤ-ਨਿਧਿਃ-ਤ੍ਵਤ੍-ਪਿਤਾ - merits repository, Thy father; ਤਤ੍ਤ੍ਵ-ਬੋਧਮ੍ - spiritual insight; ਭਕ੍ਤਾਨਾਮ੍-ਅਗ੍ਰਯਾਯੀ - of the devotees the foremost; ਸ ਚ ਖਲੁ - and he indeed; ਮਤਿਮਾਨ੍-ਉਦ੍ਧਵਃ- - the wise Uddhava; ਤ੍ਵਤ੍ਤ ਏਵ - from Thee alone; ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਃ ਵਿਜ੍ਞਾਨ ਸਾਰਂ - attained the essence of spiritual knowledge; ਸ ਕਿਲ ਜਨ-ਹਿਤਾਯ- - he indeed for peoples benefit; ਅਧੁਨਾ-ਆਸ੍ਤੇ ਬਦਰ੍ਯਾਮ੍ - even now resides in Badrikaashram;

Translation
O Lord! In those days Naarada who mostly stayed in Dwaarika was always engrossed in the bliss of Thy worship. Once Thy meritorious father attained insight and illumination from him who is the foremost among the devotees. The most distinguished among the intelligent, Uddhava attained enlightenment from instructions given by Thee directly. It is believed that he is still residing in Badrikaashrama for the benefit of the world.

ਸ਼੍ਲੋਕਃ
ਸੋ਽ਯਂ ਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਣਾਵਤਾਰੋ ਜਯਤਿ ਤਵ ਵਿਭੋ ਯਤ੍ਰ ਸੌਹਾਰ੍ਦਭੀਤਿ-
ਸ੍ਨੇਹਦ੍ਵੇਸ਼ਾਨੁਰਾਗਪ੍ਰਭ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਭਿਰਤੁਲੈਰਸ਼੍ਰਮੈਰ੍ਯੋਗਭੇਦੈਃ ।
ਆਰ੍ਤਿਂ ਤੀਰ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਮਸ੍ਤਾਮਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਪਦਮਗੁਸ੍ਸਰ੍ਵਤਃ ਸਰ੍ਵਲੋਕਾਃ
ਸ ਤ੍ਵਂ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਰ੍ਤਿਸ਼ਾਂਤ੍ਯੈ ਪਵਨਪੁਰਪਤੇ ਭਕ੍ਤਿਪੂਰ੍ਤ੍ਯੈ ਚ ਭੂਯਾਃ ॥12॥

Meaning
ਸ-ਅਯਂ ਕ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਸ਼੍ਣ-ਅਵਤਾਰਃ - that this, Krishna incarnation; ਜਯਤਿ ਤਵ ਵਿਭੋ - excels, of Thee, O Lord!; ਯਤ੍ਰ ਸੌਹਾਰ੍ਦ-ਭੀਤਿ-ਸ੍ਨੇਹ- - where by friendship, fear, love; ਦ੍ਵੇਸ਼-ਅਨੁਰਾਗ-ਪ੍ਰਭ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤਿਭਿਃ- - hatred, attachment and other; ਅਤੁਲੈਃ-ਅਸ਼੍ਰਮੈਃ-ਯੋਗ-ਭੇਦੈਃ - unique effortless (spiritual) union methods; ਆਰ੍ਤਿਂ ਤੀਰ੍ਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਮਸ੍ਤਾਮ੍- - sorrows overcoming all; ਅਮ੍ਰੁਰੁਇਤ-ਪਦਮ੍-ਅਗੁਃ- - liberated state went to; ਸਰ੍ਵਤਃ ਸਰ੍ਵ-ਲੋਕਾਃ - everywhere all the people; ਸ ਤ੍ਵਂ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵ-ਆਰ੍ਤਿ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤ੍ਯੈ - that Thou, for the world's sorrows removal; ਪਵਨਪੁਰਪਤੇ - O Lord of Guruvaayur!; ਭਕ੍ਤਿ-ਪੂਰ੍ਤ੍ਯੈ ਚ ਭੂਯਾਃ - and for the attainment of full devotion deign to be;

Translation
O Infinite Lord! Thy exalted incarnation as Krishna shines in all its uniqueness where all people everywhere effortlessly overcome all sorrows and attained spiritual union with various means of friendship, fear, love, hatred, attachment and other unique methods. May Thou O Lord of Guruvaayur! for the removal of world's sorrows having incarnated also deign to endow full devotion.
