නාරායණීයං දශක 6

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ඒවං චතුර්දශජගන්මයතාං ගතස්ය
පාතාලමීශ තව පාදතලං වදංති ।
පාදෝර්ධ්වදේශමපි දේව රසාතලං තේ
ගුල්ඵද්වයං ඛලු මහාතලමද්භුතාත්මන් ॥1॥

Meaning
ඒවං - in this manner; චතුර්දශ-ජගත්-මයතාං ගතස්ය - (of Thee) who had manifested as the fourteen worlds; පාතාලම්- - Paataal; ඊශ - O Lord!; තව පාදතලං - soles (lower part) of Thy feet; වදංති - is said to be; පාද-ඌර්ධ්ව-දේශම්-අපි - the upper surface of (Thy) feet; දේව - O Effulgent One!; රසාතලං - (is) Rasaatala; තේ ගුල්ඵද්වයං ඛලු - Thy two ankles, indeed; මහාතලම්- - (are) Mahaatala; අද්භුත්-ආත්මන් - O Lord of wondrous form;

Translation
O Lord! Thou took the wonderful form of the fourteen worlds as Thy Viraat Swaroopa : The lower worlds - Paataala -is the lower portion of Thy feet. Rasaatala - is the upper portion of Thy feet. Mahaatala is Thy two ankles.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ජංඝේ තලාතලමථෝ සුතලං ච ජානූ
කිංචෝරුභාගයුගලං විතලාතලේ ද්වේ ।
ක්ෂෝණීතලං ජඝනමංබරමංග නාභි-
ර්වක්ෂශ්ච ශක්රනිලයස්තව චක්රපාණේ ॥2॥

Meaning
ජංඝේ තලාතලම්- - (Thy) shins Talaatal; අථඃ සුතලං ච ජානූ - then, Sutala (are Thy) knees; කිංච-උරු-භාග-යුගලං - moreover, the two thighs (are); විතල-අතලේ ද්වේ - the two (worlds) Vitala and Atala; ක්ෂෝණීතලං ජඝනම්- - the earth is (Thy) hip; අංබරම්-අංග නාභිඃ - - sky is O Lord! the navel; වක්ෂඃ - ච - and the chest; ශක්ර-නිලයඃ තව - of Thine is the abode of Indra (swarga); චක්රපාණේ - O Wielder of the discus!;

Translation
O Wielder of the discus! Talaatala is Thy shins (lower part of leg between knee and ankle). Sutala is Thy knees. Vitala and Atala are the two thighs. The higher worlds: Bhoomi (earth) is Thy hip; Bhuva (sky) is Thy navel; Swarga (heaven) is Thy chest which is the abode of Indra.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ග්රීවා මහස්තව මුඛං ච ජනස්තපස්තු
ඵාලං ශිරස්තව සමස්තමයස්ය සත්යම් ।
ඒවං ජගන්මයතනෝ ජගදාශ්රිතෛර-
ප්යන්යෛර්නිබද්ධවපුෂේ භගවන්නමස්තේ ॥3॥

Meaning
ග්රීවා මහඃ - තව - Thy neck is Maharloka; මුඛං ච ජනඃ - - and face is Janaloka; තපඃ - තු ඵාලං - Tapoloka, indeed, is forehead; ශිරඃ - - head; තව සමස්තමයස්ය - of Thee who are everything; සත්යම් - is Satyaloka; ඒවං - in this manner; ජගන්මයතනෝ - whose body is the universe!; ජගදාශ්රිතෛඃ-අපි-අන්යෛඃ - of all other things forming the universe; නිබද්ධවපුෂේ - whose body is conceived as being made up of; භගවන් නමඃ - තේ - O Lord! Salutations to Thee!;

Translation
O Lord! Thy body is the whole universe. Maharloka is Thy neck. Janaloka is Thy face. Tapoloka is Thy forehead. Satyaloka is Thy head. Of all the other things of which the universe is made, Thy body is also conceived of being made up of all that. O Lord! salutations to Thee.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ත්වද්බ්රහ්මරංධ්රපදමීශ්වර විශ්වකංද
ඡංදාංසි කේශව ඝනාස්තව කේශපාශාඃ ।
උල්ලාසිචිල්ලියුගලං ද්රුහිණස්ය ගේහං
පක්ෂ්මාණි රාත්රිදිවසෞ සවිතා ච නේත්රෛ ॥4॥

Meaning
ත්වත්-බ්රහ්මරංධ්රපදම්- - Thy Brahmarandhra area (the psychic orifice on the crown of the head); ඊශ්වර විශ්වකංද - O Lord! Thou the source of the universe!; ඡංදාංසි - (are) the Vedas; කේශව - O Keshava!; ඝනාඃ තව කේශපාශාඃ - the dark clouds are Thy locks of hair; උල්ලාසි-චිල්ලි-යුගලං - the delightful two eyebrows; ද්රුහිණස්ය ගේහං - are the abode of Brahma; පක්ෂ්මාණි - the eyelashes; රාත්රි-දිබිසෞ - are night and day; සවිතා ච නේත්රේ - and the eyes are the Sun;

Translation
O Lord! The very cause of the universe,O Keshava! Thy Brahmarandhra are the Vedas. The clouds are Thy beautiful locks of hair. The abode of Brahma are Thy two eyebrows.Thy eyelashes are the night and the day, and Thy eyes is the Sun.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
නිශ්ශේෂවිශ්වරචනා ච කටාක්ෂමෝක්ෂඃ
කර්ණෞ දිශෝऽශ්වියුගලං තව නාසිකේ ද්වේ ।
ලෝභත්රපේ ච භගවන්නධරෝත්තරෝෂ්ඨෞ
තාරාගණාශ්ච දශනාඃ ශමනශ්ච දංෂ්ට්රා ॥5॥

Meaning
නිශ්ශේෂ-විශ්ව-රචනා ච - the creation of the whole universe; කටාක්ෂ-මෝක්ෂඃ - is by extending a glance of Thy eye; කර්ණෞ දිශඃ - - (Thy) ears are the directions (quarters); අශ්වියුගලම් - the two Ashvinidevas; තව නාසිකේ ද්වේ - are Thy two nostrils; ලෝභත්රපේ ච - greed and modesty; භගවන් - O Lord!; අධර-උත්තර-ඕෂ්ඨෞ - (are Thy) lower and upper lips; තාරා-ගණාඃ - ච - and the galaxy of stars; දශනාඃ - are Thy teeth; ශමනඃ ච දංෂ්ට්රා - the molars are Yama (the god of death);

Translation
O Lord! The whole of the creation is the extension of Thy one glance. The different directions are Thy ears. The Ashwini devataas are Thy two nostrils. Greed and modesty are Thy lower lip and the upper lip.The stars are Thy teeth, and Yama (death) is Thy molars.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
මායා විලාසහසිතං ශ්වසිතං සමීරෝ
ජිහ්වා ජලං වචනමීශ ශකුංතපංක්තිඃ ।
සිද්ධාදයඃ ස්වරගණා මුඛරංධ්රමග්නි-
ර්දේවා භුජාඃ ස්තනයුගං තව ධර්මදේවඃ ॥6॥

Meaning
මායා - Maayaa (Thy cosmic creative power); විලාස-හසිතං - is (Thy) charming smile; ශ්වසිතං සමීරඃ - (Thy) breath is the wind; ජිහ්වා ජලං - (Thy) tongue is water; වචනම්- - speech; ඊශ - O Lord !; ශකුංත-පංක්ති - is the birds' chirping in formation; සිද්ධ-ආදයඃ ස්වරගණාඃ - (Thy) voice is the Sidhdhaas (and other divine artists); මුඛ-රංධ්රම්-අග්නිඃ- - (Thy) mouth is fire; දේවා භුජාඃ - (Thy) arms are the gods (Devaa); ස්තනයුගං තව ධර්මදේවඃ - Thy breasts is the Dharmadeva (the god of righteousness);

Translation
O Lord! Maayaa is Thy charming smile and Thy breath is the wind. Water is Thy tongue. The birds' chirpings, as they fly in formation, are Thy speech and Thy voice are the Sidhdhaas and divine artists. Fire is Thy mouth and the gods are Thy arms. Thy breasts are the Dharma devas.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
පෘෂ්ඨං ත්වධර්ම ඉහ දේව මනඃ සුධාංශු -
රව්යක්තමේව හෘදයංබුජමංබුජාක්ෂ ।
කුක්ෂිඃ සමුද්රනිවහා වසනං තු සංධ්යේ
ශේඵඃ ප්රජාපතිරසෞ වෘෂණෞ ච මිත්රඃ ॥7॥

Meaning
පෘෂ්ඨං තු-අධර්ම - (Thy) back is Adharma (unrighteousness); ඉහ - of this (cosmic world); දේව - O Lord!; මනඃ සුධාංශුඃ - - mind is the moon; අව්යක්තම්-ඒව - the unmanifest; හෘදය-අංබුජම් - (is Thy) heart lotus; අංබුජාක්ෂ - O Lotus eyed One!; කුක්ෂිඃ සමුද්රනිවහාඃ - (Thy) abdomen is the ocean; වසනං තු සංධ්යේ - (Thy) garments are the two sandhyaas (dawn and dusk); ශේඵඃ ප්රජාපතිඃ- - (Thy) generative organ is Prajaapati (god of procreation); අසෞ වෘෂණෞ ච මිත්රඃ - and (Thy) testicles are god Mitra;

Translation
O Lord! Adharma is Thy back and the moon is Thy mind. O lotus eyed One! The unmanifest is Thy heart lotus and the oceans are Thy abdomen. The sandhyaas are Thy garments , Prajaapati is Thy generative organ and Thy testicles is god Mitra.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ශ්රෝණීස්ථලං මෘගගණාඃ පදයෝර්නඛාස්තේ
හස්ත්යුෂ්ට්රසෛංධවමුඛා ගමනං තු කාලඃ ।
විප්රාදිවර්ණභවනං වදනාබ්ජබාහු-
චාරූරුයුග්මචරණං කරුණාංබුධේ තේ ॥8॥

Meaning
ශ්රෝණීඃ -ස්ථලං - (Thy) lower-back; මෘගගණාඃ - forms the animal world; පදයෝඃ - නඛාඃ - තේ - the nails of Thy feet; හස්ති-උෂ්ට්ර-සෛම්ධව-මුඛාඃ - are the animals like elephants, camels, horses etc.; ගමනං තු කාලඃ - (Thy) movement is Time; විප්ර-ආදි-වර්ණ-භවනං - Brahmins and the other Varnas ensue from; වදන-ආබ්ජ-බාහු-චාරු-උරු-යුග්ම-චරණං - (Thy) lotus face,arms, charming thighs and feet; කරුණා-අංබුධේ තේ - of Thee, O Ocean of mercy;

Translation
O Ocean of mercy! The animal world is Thy lower-back and the elephants camels and horses are the nails of Thy feet. Time is Thy movement. The four varnas -Brahmins, Kshatriyaa, Vaishyaa and Shoodraas originated from Thy lotus face, hands, charming thighs and feet, respectively.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
සංසාරචක්රමයි චක්රධර ක්රියාස්තේ
වීර්යං මහාසුරගණෝऽස්ථිකුලානි ශෛලාඃ ।
නාඩ්යස්සරිත්සමුදයස්තරවශ්ච රෝම
ජීයාදිදං වපුරනිර්වචනීයමීශ ॥9॥

Meaning
සංසාර-චක්රම්- - the wheel of Samsaara ( the cycle of birth and death); අයි චක්රධර - O Thou wielder of the discus!; ක්රියාඃ -තේ - is Thy activity; වීර්යං මහා-අසුර-ගණඃ - - (Thy) prowess is the host of powerful Asuraas; අස්ථි-කුලානි ශෛලාඃ - (Thy) bones are the mountains; නාඩ්යඃ -සරිත්-සමුදයඃ - - (Thy) blood vessels are the many rivers; තරවඃ -ච රෝම - and the trees are Thy hair; ජීයාත්- - May it always shine (in me); ඉදං වපුඃ -අනිර්වචනීයම්- - this indescribable form; ඊශ - O Lord!;

Translation
O Thou wielder of the discus! Thy activity is the wheel of Samsaara and the host of Asuras are Thy prowess.The mountains are Thy bones, the many rivers are Thy blood streams and the trees are Thy hair. May this indescribable form always shine in me.

ශ්ලෝකඃ
ඊදෘග්ජගන්මයවපුස්තව කර්මභාජාං
කර්මාවසානසමයේ ස්මරණීයමාහුඃ ।
තස්යාංතරාත්මවපුෂේ විමලාත්මනේ තේ
වාතාලයාධිප නමෝऽස්තු නිරුංධි රෝගාන් ॥10॥

Meaning
ඊදෘක්-ජගන්මය-වපුඃ - තව - such cosmic (Viraat) form of Thee; කර්මභාජාං - by all human beings (who are subject to the law of Karma); කර්ම-අවසාන-සමයේ - at the end of all vedic karmas and at the time of death; ස්මරණීයම්-ආහුඃ - should be remembered, it is said; තස්ය-අංතර-ආත්ම-වපුෂේ - (Thou) who are the Indweller of that Viraat form; විමලාත්මනේ තේ - (and) Thou who are of the nature of pure Sattva; වාතාලයාධිප - O Lord of Guruvaayur!; නමඃ -අස්තු - my salutations be to Thee; නිරුංධි රෝගාන් - may my ailments be eradicated;

Translation
Human beings who are bound by the law of Karma should remember this Viraat (cosmic) form of Thine, which is of the nature of pure Sattva, at the end of all rituals, and when desirous of liberation and at the time of death. O Lord of Guruvaayur! My salutations to Thee. Please eradicate my ailments.
