đ°đžđŽ đ°đđđˇđž đ¸đđ¤đđ¤đđ°đŽđ is a powerful hymn, in praise of đśđđ°đ đ°đžđŽ. đ°đđđˇđž means protection. Thus this stotram is often recited to obtain the protection of Lord đśđđ°đ đ°đžđŽ. Several verses are simply quoted from other great stotrams. It is believed that recitation of this powerful prayer would get rid of all the problems created by the nine planets.
This great prayer is said to be composed by a đđˇđż called đŹđđ§ đđđśđżđ, most likely referring to đŹđđ°đšđđŽđ°đđˇđż đľđżđśđđľđžđŽđżđ¤đđ°. Here đđđśđżđ refers to the lineage of đľđżđśđđľđžđŽđżđ¤đđ° and đŹđđ§ refers to enlightened, thus referring to the enlightened đđđśđżđ đđˇđż, referring to đľđżđśđđľđžđŽđżđ¤đđ°, who became a đŹđđ°đšđđŽđ°đđˇđż, after the đđžđŻđ¤đđ°đ đŽđđ¤đđ° was revealed to him, after several thousands of years of penance to please đľđ¸đżđˇđđ đŽđšđ°đđˇđż.
