தவ விலோகனாத்³கோ³பிகாஜனா: ப்ரமத³ஸங்குலா: பங்கஜேக்ஷண ।
அம்ருததா⁴ரயா ஸம்ப்லுதா இவ ஸ்திமிததாம் த³து⁴ஸ்த்வத்புரோக³தா: ॥1॥
Meaning
தவ விலோகனாத்- - ( with) Thy vision (by seeing); கோ³பிகா-ஜனா: - the Gopikaas; ப்ரமத-³ஸங்குலா: - with joy overcome; பங்கஜேக்ஷண - O Lotus eyed One!; அம்ருத-தா⁴ரயா - by the immortal bliss downpour; ஸம்ப்லுதா இவ - drenched as if; ஸ்திமிததாம் - motionless; த³து⁴:- - attained; த்வத்-புரோ-க³தா: - by Thy in front coming;
Translation
O Lotus eyed One! As the Gopikaas saw Thee and approached Thee, they were overcome with joy. They stood stupefied and motionless as if drenched in a downpour of Immortal Bliss, seeing Thee in front of them.
ஶ்லோக:
தத³னு காசன த்வத்கராம்பு³ஜம் ஸபதி³ க்³ருஹ்ணதீ நிர்விஶங்கிதம் ।
க⁴னபயோத⁴ரே ஸன்னிதா⁴ய ஸா புலகஸம்வ்ருதா தஸ்து²ஷீ சிரம் ॥2॥
Meaning
தத³னு காசன - after that, one woman; த்வத்-கராம்பு³ஜம் - Thy lotus hand; ஸபதி³ க்³ருஹ்ணதீ - suddenly holding; நிர்விஶங்கிதம் - without hesitation; க⁴ன-பயோத⁴ரே - on (her) heavy breasts; ஸன்னிதா⁴ய ஸா - placing she; புலக-ஸம்வ்ருதா - with horripilation all around; தஸ்து²ஷீ சிரம் - stood for long;
Translation
After that, one woman, suddenly took hold of Thy lotus hand and without hesitation placed it on her heavy breasts. She stood like that for a long time with all her hair standing on end.
ஶ்லோக:
தவ விபோ⁴பரா கோமலம் பு⁴ஜம் நிஜக³லாந்தரே பர்யவேஷ்டயத் ।
க³லஸமுத்³க³தம் ப்ராணமாருதம் ப்ரதினிருந்த⁴தீவாதிஹர்ஷுலா ॥3॥
Meaning
தவ விபோ⁴- - Thy O Lord!; அபரா - another woman; கோமலம் பு⁴ஜம் - Thy tender arms; நிஜ-க³ல-அந்தரே - her own neck around; பர்யவேஷ்டயத் - wound; க³ல-ஸமுத்³க³தம் - coming out of the throat; ப்ராண-மாருதம் - the vital breath; ப்ரதினிருந்த⁴தி- - stopping; இவ-அதி-ஹர்ஷுலா - as if, extremely overjoyed;
Translation
Another woman extremely overjoyed, O Lord! Wound Thy tender arms around her own neck, as if stopping the vital breath coming out of her throat.
ஶ்லோக:
அபக³தத்ரபா காபி காமினீ தவ முகா²ம்பு³ஜாத் பூக³சர்விதம் ।
ப்ரதிக்³ருஹய்ய தத்³வக்த்ரபங்கஜே நித³த⁴தீ க³தா பூர்ணகாமதாம் ॥4॥
Meaning
அபக³த-த்ரபா - devoid of shame; காபி காமினீ - some one woman; தவ - Thy; முக-²அம்பு³ஜாத் - from the lotus like mouth; பூக-³சர்விதம் - betel chewed; ப்ரதிக்³ருஹய்ய - taking; தத்-வக்த்ர-பங்கஜே - (in) her lotus like mouth; நித³த⁴தீ க³தா - putting, attained; பூர்ண-காமதாம் - fulfillment of all desires;
Translation
One woman, devoid of all shame, from Thy lotus like mouth, taking the chewed betel, put it into her lotus like mouth. Doing so she attained the summit of fulfillment of all desires.
ஶ்லோக:
விகருணோ வனே ஸம்விஹாய மாமபக³தோஸி கா த்வாமிஹ ஸ்ப்ருஶேத் ।
இதி ஸரோஷயா தாவதே³கயா ஸஜலலோசனம் வீக்ஷிதோ ப⁴வான் ॥5॥
Meaning
விகருண: - without any pity; வனே ஸம்விஹாய மாம்- - in the forest leaving me; அபக³த:-அஸி - having gone away; கா த்வாம்-இஹ - which one (of us), Thee here; ஸ்ப்ருஶேத் இதி - will touch, thus (saying); ஸரோஷயா தாவத்- - resentfully then; ஏகயா - by one (woman); ஸஜல-லோசனம் - with tearful eyes; வீக்ஷித: ப⁴வான் - were seen Thou;
Translation
Who ever of us, here, will ever touch Thee who mercilessly abandoned me in the forest.' One of them resentfully said as she looked at Thee with tearful eyes.
ஶ்லோக:
இதி முதா³குலைர்வல்லவீஜனை: ஸமமுபாக³தோ யாமுனே தடே ।
ம்ருது³குசாம்ப³ரை: கல்பிதாஸனே கு⁴ஸ்ருணபா⁴ஸுரே பர்யஶோப⁴தா²: ॥6॥
Meaning
இதி முதா³குலை:- - thus with them who were overwhelmed with joy; வல்லவீஜனை: - the Gopikaas; ஸமம்-உபாக³த: - with them went to; யாமுனே தடே - the Yamunaa banks; ம்ருது³-குச-அம்ப³ரை: - with the soft upper garments (scarfs); கல்பித-ஆஸனே - prepared seat (on that); கு⁴ஸ்ருண-பா⁴ஸுரே - (which was) with saffron tainted; பர்யஶோப⁴தா²: - Thou shone;
Translation
In this manner, Thou went to the banks of the river Yamunaa with the Gopikaas who were overwhelmed with joy. The Gopikaas prepared a seat with their saffron tainted upper clothes, on which Thou sat with all splendour and shining with glory.
ஶ்லோக:
கதிவிதா⁴ க்ருபா கேபி ஸர்வதோ த்⁴ருதத³யோத³யா: கேசிதா³ஶ்ரிதே ।
கதிசிதீ³த்³ருஶா மாத்³ருஶேஷ்வபீத்யபி⁴ஹிதோ ப⁴வான் வல்லவீஜனை: ॥7॥
Meaning
கதிவிதா⁴ க்ருபா - of how many varieties is kindness; கே-அபி ஸர்வத: - some (people have) for all; த்⁴ருத-த³யோத³யா: - having compassion; கேசித்-ஆஶ்ரிதே - some people for (their) dependents; கதிசித்-ஈத்³ருஶா - some (people) are such (like Thee who); மா-த்³ருஶேஷு-அபி- - on people like me even (do not have pity); இதி-அபி⁴ஹித: - thus were told; ப⁴வான் - Thou; வல்லவீஜனை: - by the Gopikaas;
Translation
The Gopikaas told Thee 'There are so many varieties of compassion. Some people have compassion for everyone. Some have compassion for their dependents. Yet, some are such that they do not have compassion even towards those who have given up everything and fully surrendered, like me.'
ஶ்லோக:
அயி குமாரிகா நைவ ஶங்க்யதாம் கடி²னதா மயி ப்ரேமகாதரே ।
மயி து சேதஸோ வோனுவ்ருத்தயே க்ருதமித³ம் மயேத்யூசிவான் ப⁴வான் ॥8॥
Meaning
அயி குமாரிகா - O dear girls!; ந-ஏவ ஶங்க்யதாம் - do not certainly doubt; கடி²னதா மயி - hard heartedness in me; ப்ரேம-காதரே - (who is) afraid of losing your love; மயி து - in me indeed; சேதஸ: வ:- - your minds; அனுவ்ருத்தயே - may continuously be fixed; க்ருதம்-இத³ம் - this was done; மயா-இதி- - by me thus; உசிவான் - said; ப⁴வான் - Thou;
Translation
Thou told them, 'O dear girls! Do not at all suspect me to be hard hearted. I am afraid of losing your love. I did this (the disappearing) so that your minds may be continuously fixed in me.'
ஶ்லோக:
அயி நிஶம்யதாம் ஜீவவல்லபா⁴: ப்ரியதமோ ஜனோ நேத்³ருஶோ மம ।
ததி³ஹ ரம்யதாம் ரம்யயாமினீஷ்வனுபரோத⁴மித்யாலபோ விபோ⁴ ॥9॥
Meaning
அயி நிஶம்யதாம் - Oh please listen; ஜீவவல்லபா⁴: - most dear ones; ப்ரியதம: ஜன: - more dear person; ந-ஈத்³ருஶ: மம - is not than this (you) mine (for me); தத்-இஹ ரம்யதாம் - therefore here sport; ரம்ய-யாமினீஷு- - in the beautiful nights; அனுபரோத⁴ம்- - without hindrance; இதி-ஆலப: - thus said Thou; விபோ⁴ - O Lord!;
Translation
O most dear Ones! Please listen to me. Take it from me that there is none as dear to me as you. Therefore here on the banks of Yamunaa in the beautiful nights sport with me without any hindrance.' Thus, O Lord! Thou told them.
ஶ்லோக:
இதி கி³ராதி⁴கம் மோத³மேது³ரைர்வ்ரஜவதூ⁴ஜனை: ஸாகமாரமன் ।
கலிதகௌதுகோ ராஸகே²லனே கு³ருபுரீபதே பாஹி மாம் க³தா³த் ॥1௦॥
Meaning
இதி கி³ரா- - thus by such declaration; அதி⁴கம் - even more; மோத-³மேது³ரை:- - filled with intense joy; வ்ரஜ-வதூ⁴ஜனை: - the Gopikaas of Vraja; ஸாகம்-ஆரமன் - with them sporting; கலித-கௌதுக: - full of enthusiasm; ராஸ-கே²லனே - engaged in Raasa-leelaa; கு³ருபுரீபதே - O Lord of Guruvaayur!; பாஹி மாம் க³தா³த் - save me from ailments;
Translation
Thus with such declaration the Gopikaas were even more full of intense joy. Thou then, sporting with them, full of enthusiasm engaged in Raasaleelaa. O Lord of Guruvaayur! Save me from ailments.
